MF/scam

I just received a weird email from MF. The topic was MESSAGEBOARD@MARKETFORCE( Then it read, Certified New messages for XXXXXXXXXXX. The line that makes me really wonder is, It is important that you review your messages as quickly as possible!

Okay leaders of the pact, what do you think? I think it smells like a scam.

Interesting. They sent an email just yesterday or today about potential scams using their name and telling shoppers how to identify legitimate emails. While criny.com is legit, crinv.com is not.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.
Why don't you call MF and see what they have to say?

If I had a weird email, I would bypass that and call the company. smiling smiley
Yes. I will be making a call. It was too late this evening to get a hold of them. I wanted to put it out there asap in case it really is a scam.
NOT a scam! It's the movie theater arm of MF. This is how they communicate job openings. I got one tonight re: trailer checks at a local theater (well, their idea of "local" isn't the same as mine, but I digress). Criny.com takes you to Certified Field Associates, the movie-theater division of MF. It's definitely legit.

For what it's worth, here was the message once I logged in:

MFI has trailer checking assignments available at theatres in your area for the new release "Oldboy" which must be completed on WEDNESDAY, November 27th. If you are interested in conducting these trailer checking assignments on WEDNESDAY, please search in your area for project ID XXXXXXXXX (redacted by me). Or, you can search for all available trailer checking assignments by selecting "Theatre Checks" in the dropdown box. Please note that trailer checking assignments are typically added throughout the week, so check back regularly if you are interested in these assignments! Thanks, Market Force
