I've done the C shops and Walmart always had the right size box in the price needed. I'm usually going by one anyway and the C shops do get a bonus some times as no one wants them.

How is $10 for 20 minutes of work less than minimum wage? By my calculation that's $30 per hour. Where on earth is minimum wage that high?

For the shipping shops, A = D, and B = E. Yes, E. I have an 'E' scheduled for Monday!

According to the guidelines, C = F, too.

If you click the link for the guidelines, it will tell you right there that A & D are the same, as are B & E and C & F. They stick the word 'Random' in there for the D-E-F set, but the execution of the shops are the same.

I too forget the full explanation about when they change the designations from A & B, to D & E. There *is* a reason. smiling smiley

PS: Gotta agree w/BGriffin about the $10 shipping shops. They are *SO* easy, and except for rare occasion when there's a long line, so fast. Reports are super-simple & fast ~ no novels wanted here.

They are so cool to use with routes. I've even made a mini-route out of four here in town (since we have six of them in town). Even better when they go up to $12.50 or $15! Some of the neighboring small towns go up to $17.50 or $20 sometimes, which is even more awesome when you can find another shop (or two) to do while you're over there!

Yep, I'm doing a route tomorrow and Tuesday of some banks and car dealers. Got 4 of them right along the route at $22.50 each. smiling smiley

Right there with you bg. On the rare occasion that I get two of them near each other I can even report the first one on my smartphone during the 35 wait between shops.

For anyone inclined to do the C's, around me all the Walmarts carry a correctly sized box for the C's, current price = $1.27 each.
I've tried making a route of these, but the last two months they've been "C" shops and I won't do them anymore.... The last time they were "A" shops, the ones in my area got taken in a really spotty way, so that the ones that were left were way on opposite sides of the county--which in my case is a very, very long drive. I guess I'll just have to jump on them sooner next time around and try to get four within a reasonable distance.

I won't shop at Wal Mart, so I'm still SOL in easily getting boxes for the C shop, so unless they get bonused, which they never seem to do in my area, I'll stick to the other ones.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
I don't like Walmart either, but I made an exception for the boxes because they are inexpensive and they always are in stock. One of my friends says Home Depot sells boxes, too.
Thanks for the tip on Home Depot--I often need an individual box when I have to ship an order out and my in-stock boxes aren't the right size. I'll check them out next time!

I just signed up with them today only to find that the only shops in my area pay 3,000 Chilean pesos, or US$6. Just not worth it to my mind.
I have been doing business with Bare as an evaluator for two full years. The relationship has grown to be quite successful for me. The projects offered to me are commerserate with the task and it is rare for the receivable to come in under my minimum average fee. The minimum shop fees that I will accept are based on the average fee that my shops are running year to date and the $ amount I established as my goal. My shop average will end the year just a few pennies under $20.00. That is an increase of over $5 which is huge because of the number of shops I do. SO, if I do a $100 shop then I will do $10,$12, & $13 'Filler' shops. Usually, I will grab month end bonuses that double and/or triple the 'LOW' fees. As long as my average stays high I schedule accordingly. My MSC's know they can ask me to take critical last minute items and they make it worth my while, sometimes you just have to ask.
Is Bare the only company in some of your area's? I see the ads but they are never in my area.

I shop for over 30 different companies monthly, I build my routes to create $100 plus days. Some times I can do it in 4 shops or less, but in the lean times I have made it work with as many as 10 shops in a 6 hour span.

I will take a bunch of $10 shops but only if I can manage to get them to group together by distance, locations and dates.

I guess for me living in a major metropolitan area helps, there is always shops to be had.
I know what I am doing two weeks from now with the bigger or should I say Higher paying jobs, then when little quicky shops appear I just add them if they are on my route for that day.

I have never seen a shop listed for less than $10, unless you count those after you buy what we want you to buy food or beverage shops and they suck up the entire fee on their crappy product I would never order, those are a joke and if I am hungry I might add one to a route on short notice, but they rarely get a favorable report from me, if your gonna use all the money on the crappy product then I am gonna pick it and your staff to pieces and make it worth my while.

I bet I know what the 35 Minute rule is for........... to ensure that a clients attorney doesn't wonder how you got from point A to point B to perform the shops. Are they responsible if we are speeding and cause an accident? A good attorney could argue "yes," if we are allowed to book the shops with no time between to account for safe travel then the company is aware in advance that we may have to break laws or be unsafe to perform our contractual commitment.

Well, that's my input for the night, hope you all find the higher paying jobs to start your routes and see the $10 ones as the fillers, if thats possible for some of you in those rual area's. Never the less, all of the companies are starting to show signs of greed when it comes to paying us less, expecting more, and allowing editors to piss us off.

Happiness is spy and recording devices..........allows me to be mindless until its report time...........LOL

Peace and happy shoppng.

You're going to punish the poorly paid CS worker because you believe that you're being poorly paid for shopping them?!
To intentionally abandon objectivity in reporting in pursuit of a punitive goal is wrong on a professional level and your presence among our ranks is offensive.
To screw a fellow underpaid worker by skewing a report so that you can "pick them to pieces" because you think that the people underpaying them are also underpaying you is wrong on the level of character.
Absolutely abhorrent.

Does anybody know when they pay? I couldn't find it on the website. I just started doing shops for them in November.

Bare sends me an e-mail around the 12th-14th each month. The subject line is “Bare International Evaluator Payment Summary”. In the message there is a list of assignments for which I am being paid that month. Then I get a direct deposit of that same amount on or about the 20th.

So, start looking for a payment summary in your in box tomorrow. But if you haven’t signed up for direct deposit, there could be a delay. Check and make sure you have given them your W-9 information because they won’t pay you until you do.

Of course the direct deposit will require your account and routing numbers. After they have those things, it all goes like clockwork. At least it does for me.

Yeah ~ I can't wait for that email to come! I did a *lot* of bonused shipping shops for them last month!

In what way exactly? !!!!

Yes, in what way? Inquiring minds, and all that.

There was a scheduler change once, where I found the new scheduler to be a tad annoying sometimes; but overall I like the company and it's schedulers ~ even that one. winking smiley

I never have had problems with them. I got the email about payment for my November shops a few days ago.

I agree taking some of the pictures is a give away - one wanted us to take a picture of the hours of operation that is right in the glass door.

Years later, going through a scrap book - and here, honey, is a picture of x hours of operation!

There is absol no way staff or management seeing someone snapping a picture of a glass door hour sign does not know!!

I was actually anxious , in that one staff came from around the counter (I was petrified he was going to ask what I am doing-not about being discovered as a shopper but an I called police - what are you doing mame!!) --he was coming out to smoke!

I'm happy to see that these didn't get grabbed up. Maybe next round they'll up the pay to something

That is interesting I just had the same thought about another $10 the other day. I took it - then looked over the report and said no-way. It was unreal - and the amount of time needed to catch that bunch data nope!
I just emailed and said pls cancel.

The $10 shipping shops? They're easy as all get-out. The first one, you're a bit nervous about getting the timing right, but they are sooooo easy. Well worth even $10 if they're close to home or ~ better yet ~ along a route. The only bad thing is if you get stuck in a long line. Then I debate their worth. Ha! But so many are so fast that it's almost ridiculous In/out in 5 to 10 minutes, report takes 10 to 15. Maybe up to 20 if you count photographing the receipt, getting it from your camera to computer by whatever method, cropping/sizing it as/if necessary, and naming it something applicable (although I understand not everyone does this, but I am too anal not to). So that's $10 for about a half-hour's time. Not too bad!

Oh, I didn't count the drive-time, but as mentioned these are either very close to home, along a route, or near somewhere I'm already going for some other reason.

Those $10 shipping shops are about the only less-than-$15 shops that are worth the time you put into them! Without a line at the counter, you're in and out in about 5 minutes, as StormCloud says, and once you get the timing part of it down pat, they're simple. Report doesn't take long at all.

The "C" shops pay more, but I'd rather do two of the $10 ones than one of those. I try to do them when I have to go someplace near where there's a shop, so I'm not making a special trip.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
These shops are about my favorite shop of all of the ones I do, aside from the "free eyeglasses" one, which seems to have disappeared in my area. I never do C's, though. I'm sad in December because they usually stop offering them (for obvious reasons) and I'm in withdrawal.

I always have something to mail to family and friends, though, so it's worth it for me. I don't even know that I've ever done any other shops for BARE.
I haven't done any of these shops. Being the curious person that I am, I signed up for three of them.
