Bare payment schedule

Just started back with Bare after many years. Couldn't find their pay schedule on their website and I have a couple shops I am waiting payment for. Sept 6 and Sept 30. Anyone have any issues with them? Thanks.

My notes say they pay the 20th of the following month via direct deposit, but I'm almost certain I normally get it a few days before then.

Month after the shop around the 20th give or take. So if you shopped September 30 you should have been paid October 20. If you shopped September 1 you should have been paid October 20.

I would check with them and make sure everything is okay. They are reliable and you should have been paid by now.
Oops. It is there. Made the mistake of looking at their website shop log and it wasn't marked paid. Guess they don't mark them. Sorry folks.
Got a check yesterday too. Paid $20.50 to ship a $15.00 item to the ebay seller for a refund. I'm sure he's wondering why he got a box of spaghetti too.
Ah, I did those too. I like them personally. I get paid on time and without issue. I am happy with this company.

I am also happy so far with Bare International. They do have several shops in my area. But mostly <shipping> shops (that pay low), & I can only afford to <send> so much! They seem to me to be the middle of the road as far as payment goes. Usually get paid the end of the month for the previous month's shop.

Moderator note: Changed a couple of words up there... As mentioned in another thread, let's try to be more careful with the adjective (or verb, as the case may be!) we use to describe these shops. Some come really close to the actual client name, some even contain a word from the actual client name. "Shipping" (or the appropriate variation thereof) seems to be a good choice, as there's more than one MSC I know of who's done shipping shops with various carriers. Thanks! smiling smiley

Their ICA states:COMPENSATION:

USA/CANADA - Fees for services performed and reimbursement for allowable expenses will be distributed by mailed paper check or electronic payment on approximately the 16th of the month following the month in which projects were properly completed and received according to project requirements. Please note that the maximum allowable electronic payment is $500.00. For amounts that exceed that, a mailed paper check will be issued. Evaluators who opt for mailed paper checks should allow sufficient time for the postal service to deliver from Virginia (3-14 business days is recommended depending on your location).
If you are expecting a mailed paper check and do not receive it after waiting sufficient time, please report the lost check to us as soon as possible at payoutinquiry@bareinternational.com and ALWAYS within 90 days of the date you were expecting it. If you believe your check has been lost in the mail, it can be re-issued right away for a $30 stop-payment fee (usually deducted from the reissued check), or you may opt to wait for the check to become invalid (six months) and it will be reissued to you with no fee.

I think I'd contact them ASAP with detailed info. Good luck.

Im also having trouble with Bare paying... I went back over my shops. 10-30, and 11-14 was paid on 12-19..... i also have an 11-26 and 11-29 that should have been paid last month and nothing.... are they just behind? I still have 3 more shops in December to also get paid for, which SHOULD be 16th of this month... but im not holding my breath... I have a 10/10 rating with them, but if they can't pay me on time I will stick with bestmark...
FYI, im getting direct deposit, not checks....
Regardless of the company, when I complete shops on the last day or two of the month I don't expect it to always make the cut for that month's payments. Your shops in November not only fell at the end of the month they were also during the holiday week. Some companies do not consider the shop completed until it has been through editing and is client ready.

I need to spend some time checking to make sure all of my payments have been paid! I do know one company that has not paid one penny from late Oct to now. I should have received something I would have thought for the first few. I had mentioned them prior and no one has heard of them.

Finally..... In September 2012, the scheduler told me that BARE would publish an updated pay statement.... It has taken 15 months for BARE to be somewhat forthright in their payment schedule. If you have gone out on a limb for BARE and put money out up front over $500 in one month.... they do NOT pay you in a timely manner.

The issue still at hand.... that they justify that they cannot sent an electronic payment over $500... no, but they could still keep the payments timely by sending two electronic payments to those who have gone out on a limb for them.

I was told....

"As you have conducted many shops, we want to ensure that we are providing you with the correct payment, therefore we conduct numerous quality checks in house regarding the payment before it’s sent to you. If we were to provide payment via direct deposit, we would lose out on the “extra eyes” for each payment and could potentially result in you receiving an incorrect payment. We pride ourselves on timely and correct payment therefore we take the extra time and energy to ensure your payment is correct via check. "

The lie is that they are doing the checks to protect me. They are doing the additional checks and delaying good shoppers payments because no matter what... they still don't trust shoppers in their data base.

Now... if you read the reason why my payment was held it is for the "extra eyes" with no mention of top limits on electronic transfers.... So... I put it out there for you.... both statements are written from the desk of Bare International.
Everyone should go back and re-visit their payments.... if you shop for several places you may not see you aren't getting paid on time.... This is what I sent to bare, in response they told me exactly what I already know... per their quote. " All shops completed in the month of November will be processed for payment between the 15th and 20h of December."
didn't happen, and my 10-30 shop wasn't paid in November... I bet my december shops won't be paid till Feb.... Lets see what happens...

10-30-13 $41.72
11-14-13 $47.00
Paid on 12-16 $41.72 of which should have been paid 11-16-13 (Direct Deposit of $88.72)

11-26-13 $42.00
11-29-13 $42
NOT PAID should have been paid 12-16-13

12-13-13 $35
12-16-13 $45
12-19-13 $60.70
These SHOULD be paid 1-16-13
I've never noticed a problem with Bare payments. The date a shop is performed and reported may not be the date they consider the job complete. It has to go through editing and submission and I'm not familiar with their process or when they consider it finalized. Also, I don't keep any kind of tracking that tells me I should be paid on such and such a date. Since I don't understand when they consider a shop complete, any date I came up with would be a best guess. If a company runs over 90 days I'll make an inquiry. All my unpaid job folders are kept in a special drawer until paid, and I'll notice anything lingering past what I consider normal. I'm sure my loosely monitored system wouldn't work for most and I'm certainly not recommending it as the model on how to do things.

If I were repeatedly unhappy with a company over payments I would certainly concentrate most of my efforts in a happier place. I've sort of edged away from and cut down my shops with a couple of companies that I thought might have been messing with me over payments but I could have been wrong about the situation. Everybody makes mistakes and misses a shot now and then. My least favorite scenario is when they say they've paid, I ask for proof of payment, I don't get in a timely manner, and then it turns out they don't have proof of payment. Red flag.

Neither of these dates would have been eligible for a 11-16 pay date. If you shopped 10-30 it would not have been accepted until after that probably around 11-2. That would move it into Dec for payment. The 11-14 date was paid exactly when it should have been...the month after the shop was accepted.

Both of these shops would have missed the November cut off for December payment because of the holidays. They would be paid out the month after the shop is accepted, not completed.

On the bright side, your January payment should be nice with the November and December shops on it! smiling smiley
