Steri/CoRI/Expert Audit - My new favorite pet peeve!

So we are getting into January, the DIY shops are pretty much over for this cycle, the really big gas client is gone, and the only two other clients they have in my area are stuck at $4.00 and $4.50 per shop respectively. A few of them are getting picked up here and there, but not many. What it is doing is forcing people to pick up FF before any of the bonuses are kicking in. We aren't even finished with the first week of Jan and most of the FF shops towards the end of month are already gone.

I was doing 10-15 shops a week for them (my highest was 23) and other than some left over DIY's which are now finished, there's nothing. I am seriously considering taking the month off and chillin with my kidlings, while hoping CoRI gets their heads out of their collective <bleep>.

I was going to ask them today when they plan on
fixing the increase glitch since apparently they have
alot of issues with the rollover to 2014 including ontime
payment for ppal users.

jonchance - someone is picking up the $4 shops here too. It's to cold for me to leave the house anyway.
I haven't seen any new shops in my area - my job board is bare! There's one hardware store shop on the board. It pays $5 and is 70 miles away.

I doubt they are jumping ship, but the new management needs to wake the #### up and realize that they aren't going to be in business long if they keep losing clients, and if they don't start increasing their fees, they aren't gonna get their shops done. Although, there are some suckers in this area that are picking up shops at the cheap fees they are offering.

If I get up in the morning and can't find anything to do, I just sign up with another MSC, and usually end up picking up something new that way!

Experiencing the same issue here in MA with Steri. I love working for them but can't afford the cost of gas for the price of the current jobs. I was under the impression that more opportunities were going to open up for us when CRI was consolidated.
Seems like the jobs have dried up ever since they implemented the new website. I don't do the gas station ones since it looks like a lot more work than pay, so there is not much left. Miss the frozen treats. Of course, all one has to do this week is to put some blended cream, sugar, and eggs outside and wait a few minutes...aha, frozen treat!
I applied to shop for them around x-mas and haven't heard anything back yet. I even shot them an e-mail about my application yesterday, and didn't get a response. I guess this makes sense: if they are cutting back clients they are likely not needing any more shoppers. Looking forward to seeing if other companies pick up some of these shops... i've been piecing together hints that some of the stores I would like to shop are steri/cori ones.
Other than the gas station, how many clients have they lost? I see everything but the treat shops and it seems that client took a couple of months off last year as well.

I talked to them today and apparently their brains are frozen
from all the cold air in their state. They insist that it's normal
that none of the rate went up the first 7 days of the month,
of course we all know this to not be true.

Only way it would be normal is if they reset all the clients so
that it is as if this is the first time all the shops are being done.

Well, they moved a number of the December shops to January, so I don't know if that means that they've been reset, but they sure aren't going up. The crazy part is that in the last couple of days, the one gas client they have left has been having shops picked up all over the place for the original $4 they are offering, so I guess they have no reason to raise the rates.

I know of 3 gas clients that are gone (2 of which aren't on the boards route jobs). Everything else popped up today (except treats but those are usually done starting in March or April).

ETA: Home improvement is not up now, but we all know from last year they took forever go up at the beginning of the year and city chicken not up.

tech -
If they'd like some brain anti-freeze, I've got my December 1 email from them from last month, showing hundreds of December shops all going up on Dec. 1, 2013, for 6 different clients.
Lisa -
I can't remember if or when any of these fell off their boards, but a year ago I had blue light specials, chicken, and craft shops that aren't showing up so far this year.
Elcarev68 - I think the blue light specials and crafts were gone 2013. Sadly missed. I still screw with the craft people and ask a question at the cutting station and at the counter. smiling smiley Eeeeviiiiiilllllll (maniacal laugh)

I have the same issues in Northern IL/ almost WI! Most boards are empty or have one DIY shop about 30 miles away and is only $5.00 + a purchase. Where are all the shops? I figured there would always be work to do? Even 2.00 phone shops are going fast! Wow!

I am thinking I may have invested in all my business supplies and now I sit. Sadly. Please tell me this is a blurp in the road and this will change quickly, please....

"Supposedly" ....I was at least told in an email that they have some BIG clients coming.
I asked if they would hit the major cities in Texas (Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Austin)
I was told yes, but was not give a time I would see them.
Hope it is sooner than later!!
I see three hardware shops here for $40 + $1 reimb.

Business supplies? Can you clarify what did you need to buy. Thanks.
Don't you have other companies that you can work for while waiting for Cori/Steri to replenish their shops?

Of course I do. I just have to spend more time online hunting for them. I'm pretty much booked up solid for the next two weeks now because I have been scheduling everything I can get my hands on that pays more than $15 or is close by. I just really liked getting up in the morning, and if I felt like working, going on to Cori and MF and scheduling my day in 10 minutes.
