The Guest Check reports

I see on The Guest Check site (theguestcheck.com) that their restaurant reports are incredibly narrative heavy. Does anyone have any experience with this company? Is it worth it? Do they pay fee + reimbursement?

Their reports are comparative to Coyle.

I've done 11 of these but am taking a long break from them. They pay mostly reinbursements, but occasionally will offer a bonus fee on hard-to-fill shops.

VERY narrative-heavy and a pretty picky editor, in my opinion.

Good choice of restaurants, however, low-, middle- and high-brow.

I am about to do my first shop for them at a lowish end hotel bar. Is there a way to politely inquire if they have better shops in my area? I understand I need to prove myself, but how many lower end jobs does that usually take, assuming I meet their expectations?

I would say the reports are slightly more demanding than Coyle, but pay better as well.

I don't think there is a specific number of jobs they require to move you up, but location may not necessarily be an issue when it comes to their higher end properties. I would highly recommend putting in the time to do a good job for this company and let them know you are interested. This company is in my top 5 MSCs that I like to work for.
