I have done a dozen of these shops and they are the best. Super easy to do and report. I THINK you can do most drugs and use another persons RX but the scheduler has always been easy to work with and fast to respond.

I like when they pay a little more.....it CAN be very profitable if you have a high cost script though...

There is a longer thread on this from a few months ago. You have a wide selection of pharmacies and the form is reasonable. You can fill someone else's prescription (unless they changed that for this round). It's a really good deal if you have a pricey prescription.

I have done this before. It is very helpful. I have three to do soon.

I don't have any prescriptions due within the time frame! Too bad. The form is ridiculously easy. The worst part is the time it takes waiting for the pharmacist to look up the price. I have a prescription that costs $60, even with insurance, so a $50 reimbursement is a real score.

There is a list of eligible pharmacies--pretty much all of them, I think--you can fill anyone's script and I think any drug is eligible.

I need to read the instructions.. they're on my bed, along w/a crapload of other job descriptions to test for, make cheat sheets, and get this--> I don't file every job.. so, at the end of a month, I have a HUGE PILE of instructions, cheat, receipts that I have sit in bed and do the hole punch, then into the correct file.. JEEZ

Are you saying that you hole punch every page for every mystery shop? I've found that to be extremely time consuming and messy. I know that some shoppers use several clipboards, but I find that things fall out of them.

I recently started putting plastic files in loose-leaf binders for some types of projects and liked them so much that I am doing that for all my work. I like large paper clips rather than the tiny ones. What I am doing is putting each shop, and my merchandising assignments, too, in a plastic sheet that has the front part of the plastic going only halfway up. It is easy to remove and put back the sheets. They don't fall out and they don't get lost. I can have one plastic file for instructions that haven't changed, and the one in front will contain the current assignment.

The only thing I'd warn about is having the mystery shopping ones easily seen if in a store merchandising. If you drop your loose-leaf binder, you'll likely have to buy a new one because the clips will not work properly after that.

You can organize them any way you want, by day of the week, even by using different-colored plastic. You can even change them if what you are doing doesn't work for you. The plastic organizers themselves aren't cheap but they last as long as they aren't overstuffed.

I tried an expandable file with a top that closes, but it is too easy for things to get lost in there, and there is no place for unusual assignments. There are never enough sections for occasional assignments from some of the many MSC's we have to register with.

If you need one set, for example for an audit, you can put it in a clipboard. Then put the finished paper back in the plastic for the ride home.

Since I also merchandise, I have binders for two different companies and then one for everything else, including mystery shopping. There are some merchandising companies that I rarely work for so their file is in the MS one. If I were still a full-time mystery shopper, it would be a little different.

Maybe you can find something in my narrative that will help you.

I found a posse box works well, they come in different thicknesses. Mine is about an inch thick. I stack all my shop docs in there in the order of my route, pull the current one out and clip it on top, when I'm done with the shop I write up the report and staple any receipts to it (I carry a stapler in the car) and stick it back in the posse box under the pile. It also gives me a place to store the documents as I build my route, since I print my docs as soon as the shop is awarded to me. I top it off with the Mapquest printout that I use as a backup to my Garmin when I go out on a route.

After I enter my reports, they go in a folder by month inside a Banker's box. If there is any followup I can easily find the documents and the Banker's box is kept in case of a tax audit.

I learned a long time ago never to file anything with a paperclip. When it's time for that banker's box, everything is firmly stapled together. Too easy for other things to catch on a paperclip and then you'll never find them again because they're stuck behind something totally unrelated.

BTW, I learned the hard way not to put loose business cards or my driver's license into a posse box. The bottom edge of mine does not have a lip, and cards can slide out. My driver's license fell out at a revealed audit once. Luckily someone turned it in and I realized it was missing before I left the parking lot. Everything I put in there is stapled to a full sized sheet of paper.

I've applied for a prescription shop but asked if I can do it next week. I don't know why they keep putting them out there that they need to be done in the next day or two. Give us a couple days to plan, for pete's sake.

This shops have been a life saver for me! I did about 20 of them over two months! they pay on time too. BIG plus.

Great shops especially for the more expensive RXs. Sadly the timing has changed and I can't refill until 5 days before expiry.
Out of step.......
as far as getting organized... I may be there.
First, in my pocket calendar I note the shop I'm applying for in the selected due date's space, the range of dates and the MSC initials (I have at times forgotten who the shop is for!) and a question mark, which I change to a Y when accepted. This helps me not overbook.
I purchase 1 1/2" expendable letter size file jackets, package of 10, 5 diff. colors. I label the tab with the MSC name, password etc.
On the outside, on the vertical I write the shop's date, name, location, mileage, pay rate, bonus, reimbursement, scan number. Once I'm paid I write pd and the date.
Inside the jacket I keep the receipts, business cards dates & scan numbers, e-mails re. bonus, guidelines etc.
My bread and butter MSCs get their own file, the others share, everybody lives in the same milk crate at my feet and there's room for my elbows on the computer desk!

Well, I just completed the last one of these shops that I will ever do. Apparently, the guidelines have
changed. You now need to upload some additional information--no problem--but they no longer
reimburse the cost? What gives? I've always been reimbursed the co-pay before! Why else would
I do all the waiting at the pharmacy for them to look up prices, uploading and reporting for only $3?
Anyone else have the same experience?

They seem to have 2 different ones now. I just did the one where you have to use the card instead of your insurance but they do reimburse the prescription cost. Only 1 of my 4 RXs made sense to do that way.

I've done about 20 where the reimbursement was always up to $50 no matter what. Neither of my prescriptions would have made sense to use the coupon, so it turned out to be a lot of work for $3.
I wish that I could have seen the new guidelines first.

The most recent prescription shops from About Face were CVS only and you had to use the coupon. Another was to choose your pharmacy but you had to use the coupon. Previously, if you could get a cheaper rate with another coupon you didn't have to use the coupon in the guidelines, or if the pharmacy didn't accept the coupon you'd still get reimbursed. All of the shops have reimbursed up to $50. If you don't have insurance, these are great shops. I have had some problems with medication availability at the pharmacies but was able to get extensions.

Great shops with easy report and fast to do. Also good paying. To respond to OP almost any pharmacy and yes you can use any prescription.

I just did the shop the other day. It was not a CVS-only. I did it at another pharmacy of my choice. Reimbursement is now dependent on using the coupon only. If you use any other insurance or coupon, you will not be reimbursed even if the purchase was supplemented with the coupon. Maybe the CVS ones are still giving the reimbursement up to $50, but I got nothin'!

Yeah, isn't it? If you do any in the near future, double check your guidelines. I was shocked!

In compiling paperwork, if I have two sheets, I use a piece of tape to attach them. More than 2, stapler. No paper clips..
