Satisfaction Services Inc?

Do any of you shop for Satisfactionservicesinc.com? The reason I ask is because they have this option where you can pay $9.95 to "upgrade" to preferred status on shops. I have never had to pay for anything like this so was just curious if any of you had any experience with them and had/have paid this fee?

Thanks AustinMom! So they are a legit company? Their website had me a little worried just because it was different than the traditional sites I am used to.

I didn't pay the fee, even though I have shopped for them; I no longer receive emails for jobs.

Sounds a little "shady " to me.

They are not shady. You just don't have to pay the fee. You will see fewer jobs that way. BUT, you can always find tons and tons of jobs with about 200 other MS companies, and they don't charge any fees.

They are a legit company. You don't need to pay the fee to get jobs. Their schedulers e-mail when assignments are available. They lost several clients and have few jobs in my area anymore.

I never upgraded and have shopped for them for many years. The stores I shopped are now with other clients so it has been a while since I completed any assignments. You can still access the site if you are not a preferred status shopper.

I have requested shops via their web site several times and when I was called by the scheduler to discuss my requests she was actively encouraging not to take the jobs which really took me by surprise.
The shops I completed for them I found narrative heavy and not compensated accordingly.

Their dinner shops in Ct are great but you gotta write a novel

I'm shocked they discouraged you. Is it for the jewelry store?

To the OP, they are legit and I have shopped for them off and on, for 6 years. They expect a lot of narratives and detailed observations.

No, it wasn't the jewelry store (did that one and wrote for a long time for $12 since they "forgot" about the bonus and had heck of a time trying to get anyone to talk to me about it).
It was an athletic footwear shop on my side of the bay.

I have always been reluctant, when looking at the board. There are three shops within a hundred miles of my home, and I expect to travel through Nebraska to Colorado at one point this month. The job board says there are assignments, but not what they are, what they pay, and when they are do. There is a clicky-box to apply, and I would be notified if accepted. What if the shop is not a good fit for me? (hours, pay, and so forth) Do I have to accept things to see what they are, then scramble to cancel?

(Sounds like a "you have to pass it to read it" kind of government thing.)

It's been a while since I've worked with them, because they have little in my area. Nice folks. At one time, they had a chicken shop that went to MF and an upscale Italian place I haven't seen in a couple of years. They identify who and where after you accept. Detailed instructions are not provided until you accept. They work with you on the date. There does not seem to be a negative if you cancel because the details are unacceptable. I once accepted a thrift shop integrity ........ but after reading the details of the required transaction, it seemed like entrapment and I explained my feeling and backed out. It did not affect my ability to get assigned the dining shops that were available.

I consistently get work and have never paid the fee. I do a chocolate shop for them. The shop doesn't pay much in the way of cash, but I often get a small bonus and they allow $20 worth of chocolate. Easy company to deal with, although one of the longer ones to pay (by check).

I do shops for them as much as their rotation will allow me. They don't email out jobs, the schedulers will call you or you send emails. I don't have their "upgrade" and none of the schedulers have ever mentioned it to me.

They have a ton of parking shops in my area, and I get an email from the scheduler with the list. The pay is good, and the report is reasonable. I was paid on time.

On their website, there is very little information provided. I checked a box to apply for a restaurant shop, and a scheduler called me to go over the details. I told her I didn't think I would fit in there and she was appreciative.

I shop for them as well and don't pay the fee. I get what they say are the "preferred shops" as well and seem to see them all. There is one shop that is a very nice reimbursement for a sporting goods store that usually goes on the board once a year. They limit shoppers to one shop a piece usually and I have now done three of them.

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.

Thanks everyone-- I just took my first job with them via a phone call from the scheduler. But when I opened the email my computer wouldn't let me go to the website. It said it was suspicious! I googled for more info and that's when I found this site. Guess I'll go ahead and tell me computer "I trust the site". Looks like an easy shop with just 6 questions to answer....we'll see.
