Problems with Measure Consumer Perspective

Hello everyone! grinning smiley

I am having some problems with the submission of one of my reports for the MCP and I am hoping to find someone who can help me.

So yesterday March 10, at 4:30 PM I performed a shop at a car dealership. MCP's instructions are as follow:

"The survey (with the exception of the follow up section) MUST be filled out within 12 hours of completing the visit. The Follow up section must be completed and survey submitted within 12 hours of receiving the follow up or 5 BUSINESS days after the visit, whichever comes first."

To me it sounds like I should have already submitted the FIRST PART of my report (since it has been well over 12 hours) but when I try to do so, the system won't allow me because it says that the "Follow UP" questions need to be answered prior to submission (the Follow Up questions are on the same page as the report I should have already submitted per the instructions). Obviously it has not been 5 days yet and I still need to evaluate the dealership in the follow up. Also when I try to upload the documents required by MCP I get an "Access Denied" window and I can't uploat those.

I am afraid they will consider my report late if I don't submit it now, but there does not seem to be a way to do it. I contacted one of the schedulers with all these questions and she was not able to give me an answer (I don't think she has ever used the MCP site for reporting and so she is not able to guide me through this).

Has anyone had a problem like this before? If so, what did you do? Will I receive full pay or will they consider my report "late"? Thank you

Hi,

I had a similar problem with my report for the same car company the other day. I completed the main body of the report and was waiting for the five days to pass to see if there was follow-up. The day after the shop I received emails saying that the report was overdue. My scheduler, Elise was very responsive though and she said that as long as I had the date entered at the top of the report and the documents attached then she would change the due date to five days from now.

I would try contacting the scheduler again and suggest that she extend the due date or talk to Elise if she doesn't know how! No advice for the difficulty uploading documents though. Sorry!

Although I have not done this specific shop I have done car dealerships for other MSC's in which I had to wait for a follow-up. In those cases I filled out the report immediately except for the follow-up portion. I then saved it and let it stay in incomplete status. Once you get the follow up the report gets submitted. The MSC will not consider the report late as long as you fill out the main portion within the 12 years. I have never had a problem with this.
Those late notices are automatic and computer-generated. Since all of my shops are video it is not uncommon to have a longer reporting period than standard and I have always been told not to worry about the emails.

That's some easy-going MSC!
Freudian slip.

I did the same (probably for the same company) submitting a few diffrent reports, but last time I received lower rating for submitting the report late. I did get the payment but it is annoying when you have to deal with an ignorant reviewer and nobody is responding from the company to correct the reviewer’s mistake. So on my profile is still visible that I was late with submitting my report and received lower rating for that.

I did my last shop for them in December. It was my last shop because I entered the report COMPLETELY except for the phone call date. The report would not accept ANY DATE I tried to input. I emailed MC and got NO REPLY. The next day they erased my entire report. I emailed them again that the report was completed except for the date of the phone call. Told them once more that the report will not allow me to input a date. So in the end, I don't get paid because they erased my entire shop and said absolutely nothing else and could care less to resolve the issue.
I would call them again. I had a small issue with them about two weeks ago and the nicest woman helped me over the phone. Also, I wouldn't write them off as so far they've always paid me within 3 weeks which is kinda nice.

Floating around like a feather hoping the wind will set me down somewhere awesome.
I am new at mystery shopping so this was great advice from all of you... Thank you for your support!

P.S. My report went through just fine after I entered the final part (follow-up). I don't think they will consider it late since I did not hear any complaint from them. smiling smiley
Hi,

I work for Measure and would like to help with this particular shop. The shop form requires you complete all portions of the shop within 12 hours of your visit EXCEPT followup. Some sales execs take up to 5 days to reply.

If you have your form completed and your attachments uploaded, please email your scheduler and tell them you have as much completed as you can and to extend your due date to allow for followup.

Sometimes it takes a bit to get the extension updated, but NO ONE is penalized if the shop shows overdue and you have done the initial questions.

The only time you are penalized is IF you are missing information or have completed the shop incorrectly.

Save OFTEN! I can't stress that enough, especially on these shop.

If you have a narrative to complete, do it in a word processing program, or in your email if you have to. Copy and paste it into the shop form.

I've done many a shop and lost many a multi- paragraph narrative as a shopper. Now I write and save them outside the shopping system and cut and paste. If the save fails...you are covered.

If you need any help and do not get get an answer quickly from your scheduler, please feel free to contact me.

What a great reply! So nice to see a Director of Scheduling offer this detailed information.

However it seems Ben Re and Elijah boy are pointing out some "System Flaws"

that are preventing the input of the report...

Could you clarify this please? Is there a technical support department that
can work out this bug. Or is the IC to call and speak with someone to
correct this problem as well.

There are some shops in my area that I have been considering accepting. Which
is why I am on this board. I am leary in accepting them as I schedule both
my shops and report entry into my schedule for the same day and block
out the amount of time for both. It would be very frustrating to ad more
time to call in to a live person as well.

If you are having technical problems that your scheduler can't help with .....a call into our office will get you the help you need.

Julie will be happy to help, or get you to someone that can.
