SO, I overall like Maritz, and do a decent amount of work with them. (And a lot MORE now, as many people know I specialize in gas station shops.) That said, this error I got while submitting a report today made me go "Ah ha, that IS Maritz in a nut shell!"

Phoebe- They stopped using rotary phones 2 years ago. Now they just need to pick up the phone and respond to the operator on the other end that says, "number, please."

Love Maritz and they have great schedulers. I wish they would streamline their reports a bit such as if a station will not sign authorization and not allow pictures a question of were you able to complete audit should be in there. I had to write "not allow pictures" on a paper, it could be so much easier. Also if no restroom is present it should take out the picture requirement. New to these (EDITED) shops and I am sure they will streamline.

I would like to see them streamline the report so you don't have to check 20 boxes of THIS PUMP DOES NOT EXIST.

LOL..... my experience with Maritz has been like the TWILIGHT ZONE.

Here is another oddity of the gas station shops: When oing the gas stations with the sun, they ask if their gift cards are available. If one answers "No", a photo is then required.

How do you take a photo of something non-existent?

Usually that requires a photo of the counter area, showing that there are no cards where they're supposed to be, like missing cc app holders at the pump, or no trash can at the island.
What kills me is a required photo of a card reader at the pump when the deficiency is that it did not work properly.

HA! You are so right! I always try and snap a pic of the card reader's message of CASHIER HAS RECEIPT. Sometimes I am quick enough.

When I do station shops, I walk in, after returning from dropping off my purchase in the car and start talking as if in the middle of a conversation, like....yeah so I am here to just take a few photos here is the letter if you would like to read it, it just says I am going to be walking around taking some photos, I should be out of here pretty quick, thanks.

Thankfully no refusals yet.

Just upload the gasoline receipt, showing that it was produced inside the store...that's what they want.

I'm not really sure that they know what they want. I've uploaded a photo of the screen, of the whole front panel, of the whole pump, and of the inside pump receipt (which they already get) - not multiples, just one per location, trying to figure out which one they want or don't want, and they've all been approved. They should drop the photo requirement for this one, unless there's a sign indicating the reader is out of order, but then even that would be unapproved signage.

I've left that photo spot empty and heard nary a peep from them about it, so I don't think they use that photo.

I wonder why they don't tell me this. I have done many of these shops. You think they would want to help me/us get them right to save them the trouble. Oh well, there loss, I guess.
