Thank you Intelli-Shop

As I've said before, both my wife and I do mystery shops. We landed two coffee travel center shops in the same city (1 for me and 1 for my wife, since a person can only do one per day), for $25 plus reimbursement.

Sometimes I love Intelli-shop; other days I want to deactivate myself (never have done that from an MSC yet; fingers crossed).

Those travel center shops are definitely worthwhile when the fees get up there a bit like that.

Last month I did one for $30 plus reimbursement. Nice stack of change when the shop is close or you schedule a few other worthwhile shops close to them. Plus the coffee is excellent!

I did the report and received my first 10 rating from them. My wife got a 9.

Just saw the posting this morning from Intellishop for apartment shops that they just picked up from another MSC. I hate it when one company is doing them for $25 to start. Intel is offering $22 to do the shops.
I stick to strictly travel center shops with Intelli-Shop, because they put a nice bonus on them as the month goes by. My wife has done a few oil change shops for them, but we found better companies to get them done through. I'm happy Intelli-Shop allows both of us to shop, as we can get around rotations this way, because they are usually one on, one off.

I'm done with Intelli-shop. I did a <parking> shop for them, spent $18, time and gas and they refused to pay. The instructions says "Standard" at one place and another document says to claim I lost the ticket. That was the last instruction I read before I left for the shop, so I did that. Well, the proofreader claimed I did the wrong scenario. I did everything else right, including taking pictures of the valet ticket, front and back, got a receipt and uploaded that, then filled in the long report. The so-called document is no longer on the Log.

I have 2 more valet shops this week but I am going to cancel all of them. I'm done with Intelli-shop.

Mod note: Even if you've terminated your relationship with the MSC and no longer have an ICA to worry about, the forum still asks that you don't directly link client and MSC. Thanks!
I'm cancelling my 2 valet parking shops this week. They refused to pay me for my last one claiming that I'm suposed to do the "standard" and I did the "lost ticket" scenario. Well, their instructions were conflicting, one place says standard while the last document I read says to claim I lost the ticket. I did the later since it was the last instruction I read before I did the shop.

I am done with valet shops for Intelli-shop.
I think you mentioned the client. If so you should edit it. This would violate the forum rules.

Mod note: And it doesn't help that you quoted the post with the client revealed. winking smiley
If their instructions were conflicting I would escalate this issue to the scheduler.

I notice that they are chiseling down the shopper pay, too. Apartment shop which started at $25 w/previous MSC is now $22. And their comic book shop went from $10 pay to $6 pay.
I'll echo any thanks being extended to IS. I turned in one of the worse piece of crap reports ever on Monday. I fell asleep three times while writing it, trying to beat the twelve hour deadline after a long day's route. I didn't deserve even the 7 that I got, but at least the information was there for them to piece together from the wreckage of my nonsensical narratives.
Anyone know whether a report is DQ'd if a few hours late for them, or just dinged a couple of points? I would have much rather turned in a late but solid report than an on-time jigsaw puzzle.

I think you just get dinged. In the same situation I've emailed a scheduler and asked if they preferred it on time or good because they weren't going to get both. Normally the result is an extension on the report. Whether it is then knocked down a point depends on the MSC.

Jwolpert, yes, I did escalated it but she would not budge. I did not save a copy of the well-written report. It is no longer available from the Log. I am a long time shopper with them, and have several "+" citations from their other schedulers. It's just this one new scheduler. I asked her to cancel my 2 other shops if she refused to pay me. How do I contact their management?

The shop I did (lost ticket for valet shops) was more difficult than the regular turning in the tickets. What difference does it make? Some shoppers here commented they reviewed the wrong model car and they just got a lower score but still got paid.
Actually a shopper said she shopped the correct model of the car and the editor said it was the wrong model. Big difference.

If no one takes them at the reduced fee then they will eventually offer a bonus.

At least you realize it wasn't your finest work.

Unfortunately I do not know who is in charge of the schedulers. This is a real shame because it is their screw up. Will they let you re-shop with the correct scenario? If the shop fee is enough to compensate you for the out of pocket cost from the first shop and maybe still provide some compensation it might be worth it. I had a parking shop for another MSC and the directions were confusing (not contradictory) so I shopped the wrong scenario. They allowed me to re-shop it. It was only a couple of miles from my house so it was worth it. Also, based upon my suggestion they modified the instructions to make it clearer.

Today I got an email from an I-Shop scheduler with the subject line: "Are you going on a date this weekend? Let me help pay for it!" Then it shows a photo of a very well known, very tall building in Manhattan. It goes on to say they know I don't want to do a tourist shop, but they're asking me to call for westher, buy 2 tickets and I'll get reimbursed plus make $15.

They're getting desperate!!! They should've quit when they were ahead.

If I were going on a date, I wouldn't be paying, first of all. And if I did, $15 wouldn't pay for one of anything. They were right that as a NYer, I am not interested in shopping a big tourist site, buying expensive tickets for it and waiting 6 weeks for reimbursement for $15! Guess I can go on that date in August instead of this weekend! LOL I can see this building from my front door. It's 4 blocks away, all lit up in nice colors every night. I love looking at it from a distance. But when I walk past it, I'm not stopping.

Seems to me they'd do better to market this to shoppers who might actually be taking a trip to NYC who would want to go 86 and 102 floors up in the sky.

I just thought it was funny that they tried to use a dating angle to entice me into taking a shop they knew I didn't want. Creative but invasive. Pay me $50 and I will think about it!
