I'm pretty sure Market Force is going to deactive me...

I did an arch shop yesterday. The location was dirty, the food took a long time to receive, and the fries were room temperature. Even worse, the sandwich was so salty I couldn't eat it. I rated the visit as "Poor."

I'm just waiting for the deactivation. It wouldn't surprise me. MF doesn't like to hear the truth about bad shops. sad smiley

I've had a few shops where it didn't go well, but they accepted it. I try to balance the negative with the positive. (surely there must be one positive you reported)
Hang in there.
Am I the only one that has never had a problem turning in a bad report for MF? I've turned in quite a few. I've been questioned about a couple, mostly related to timings and how I took them, but I've never not been paid and some have been HORRIBLE. 10 minutes in a drive thru anybody?

I kept my comments objective/neutral and not subjective. I did not comment on anything positive, there really wasn't anything positive. I guess I could comment that I did indeed receive the 2 napkins, or that I didn't see any bugs. smiling smiley
Well, I haven't done that many shops for them, and most were pretty good. But, I told them that the fries at one place were limp and greasy and hadn't been shaken at all, and it didn't faze them.
On any shop, for MF or anyone else, when you leave you have an emotional response that is positive or negative about the place. It is all too human to categorize an experience as all or none--overlook a grimy sink because everything else was 'so perfect'; overlook a sparkling clean mirror because everything was 'just so awful'. Part of objectivity is to get over the emotional response quickly by thinking about what was good (or bad) that will moderate your emotional response. THEN you can write the report and report the facts.
All you can do is report the facts. I agree with Flash, write what you see, objectively. The computer entry questioned my timing, for being over five minutes to receive food. It took over 7 minutes to reach the speaker, they were so busy. Just note everything in your comments. The only time MF contacted me, was when both timings were the same. I told them that's the way it was. No problem, I want to note I must be approaching 200 shops for them, nary a problem.
>The computer entry questioned my timing

I think that we, and I include myself, worry too much about those automated, "Are you sure about this?" messages that we get. They've been programmed to double-check anything unusual, and that's what the comments space is all about. Is there anyone here who hasn't, once, at least, left the default AM instead of changing it to PM? Or hasn't accidently used an arrow key and moved a "Yes" to a "No?"

I'll confess, now that I felt a little irritated at an automated message from another MSC's report, recently. "You said that the team member did not verify the amount of your purchase. HOW DID YOU KNOW WHAT TO PAY?" The all caps are theirs, and they got to me, just slightly.
Ishmael, I just got the same message last week, different MSC also. I take the CSR determining what, if anything else you need, to be asking about your purchase. NOT JUST TELLING YOU HOW MUCH.

If I remember rightly, there's two questions in that section. The first one asks if the CSR determined your needs, or was otherwise friendly. And if you say 'no', you get a follow-up question asking you to say 'yes', if the CSR showed any signs of friendliness.

The second question asks if the CSR told you what to pay, and if not, HOW DID YOU KNOW HOW MUCH TO PAY?
I have done at least 3 of these shops that were absolutely horrid. One particular one I sat in line over 20 minutes in both the drive thru and walk-in. It was really bad. I have never had MF come back and question any of the negative reports, and they keep calling me with the bonuses, so I wouldn't be too worried about it.
Nope, I've turned in some negative reports... I don't think as bad as 'poor' yet... well, maybe just one; but several shops with several negatives. And {knock on wood!} I'm still OK as far as MF is concerned.

I think once or twice I was contacted via email just to clarify and make sure of a thing or two, but then never heard any more and was paid. I was questioned about timing and what the workers were doing once, and questioned about what I reported about the food once. I think once about a super-long drive-thru time, too. I've had MORE than 10 minutes in a drive-thru! You can just feel your soul shriveling as you wait that long, MS or not! smiling smiley

I have been shopping arches for over 8 years. Turning in a bad report is not an issue with them. I had one really, really bad location and after detailing the entire shop, it was accepted. I encouraged the restaurant to pull the video, by providing the time and vehicle details of the drive-thru.

They notified me of a rejected shop, which I challenged. I was able to document the exact wording about setting up an appointment. It was resolved in my favor.

I love shopping for MF.

The only subjective comment I've ever put into a MF shop was for Arch and it ran thus:

"I bit into the sandwich and it was cold and slimy. I took two more bites to be sure it wasn't just cold grease and now I'm actually afraid I may get food poisoning. I wasn't able to eat any more because of the taste and texture; I considered getting it remade, but had lost my appetite."

About eight hours later, I sent an email to the help desk:

"I submitted a report for shop [number whatever] earlier and made the comment that I was afraid I might get food poisoning. Is it possible for an editor to add that all current indications say I DID get food poisoning?"

They did and I got a personal email from a scheduler telling me that should the same unfortunate circumstance happen in future, I shouldn't try to eat it at all--that the shop would not be considered incomplete if I commented that the surface of the meat appeared slimy and smelled strange and so I hadn't tasted it. (She also advised me to rest and get plenty of fluids, which was nice of her.)

If you're honest, they're chill.
I have had bad experiences with bad reports on the Arches also. I saw a mouse and reported it as dirty. I got a call and was asked, "How do you know it was dirty, it could have been a clean mouse." They had to remove the mouse from my report in order for it to be accepted and paid.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Now that's just hilarious.

It is hilarious... but also a bit disturbing... :/p

But still, yeah ~ HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

I received several calls regarding half-cooked fries I reported and I expected that they
would reject my report. I had to clearly explain to them that more than 50% of the fries
not only looked uncooked but tasted like they thawed out from the freezer. They were mixed
in with some cooked ones. The report went through. Knock on wood, I've never had any report
for this MSC rejected.

You forgot church.
I was just gonna say that, Ishmael! smiling smiley

And while I've never heard "dirty mouse", I've certainly heard "dirty rat". Ha!
