Question about Prophet systems.

I have a question about the prophet system. I'm signed up with several companies that use prophet but it seems like they never have jobs in my area. It always says

(There are no available visits in your area at this time.)

Then if I try to search outside my area it says this

(You are not eligible for any of the visits in the cities you chose.)

Almost every single one says these two statements. I don't understand why. These are the only companies where I can't search outside my area. Even the companies that are phrophet that have work in my area only show a very very small radius around where I live. Sometimes it doesn't even show the subburbs around me which can be like 10 miles away.

Does anyone else have this problem? You would think they would want shoppers to be able to find the shops.

I get that often, but not always, and wonder why I am not qualified for these invisible shops I know exist even though I don't know what they are.

It's frustrating to be sure.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
It really is. I don't understand how to fix the problem. Prohpet seperates their shops by city and I live in a big metro area with over 10 cities within 30 minutes of me. It's really awful because if a shop isn't in my exact city I cannot see it. I live in one of the biggest cities in regards to actual land mass size. It's soooooo annoying.

And of course these are the companies where I cannot find numbers or e-mails to contact people like BRG and CHC and a Instant Replays.
I have noticed a trend of companies moving away from prophet and over to sassie. Prophet is hard you have to know a scheduler of the companie and email so they can add job to your home page. PITA

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
Yeah, they really are a PITA. I don't even know any schedulers from those companies. Blarg.

If possible, get a forum member/friend/acquaintance to search his/her Prophet job board. See if s/he is eligible for shops in your State, making note of any cities. If they're eligible, that's probably not good news for you. Communicating with the MSC may enlighten you.

Generally, other shoppers have reported vague and general responses to their inquiries, without much hope for reinstatement (although the MSCs tend to be coquettish here).
I have these same issues with the Prophet system! Also, most MSC's have a lot of information on their websites, Prophet system does not! It is very frustrating!!!! I finally got an email yetserday about a shop in my area, which is in reality, approximately 900 miles away from me, but I did put a close by area into the system, since I have family there, and thought I might could do some shops while visiting. I live in a fairly large city, but this shop was in a very small town.
Overall I am not displeased by the Prophet system. Yes, it is different than SASSIE so it is one more platform to master. Certainly I can view some of the information about any shop I might be interested in before accepting it. The aspect of needing to choose a specific date and time to perform the shop is annoying, however. I am able, though, to see who the client is and what the address is readily enough, unlike some platforms where you are only given an address or just a zip code.
I have a question about Market Force system. After mastering their system, I finally did 2 shops. However, I did not get any feedback nor can I find my completed shops in their website as Pending Payment as in other systems (Sassie, for instance) I have been using. Can you explain this? I went to their Home page and all it does is talk about turtles nesting. I just laughed out loud. Really, turtles nesting when I could not find my 2 pending payment shops?
Indeed. Discussion about turtles nesting, and Lymes disease.

You will not get feedback, or a grade. Wait for your pay. If the news is bad, you will not see certain shops/locations on your board that were visible to you previously. If the news is really bad, you won't see the WebFC Select link anymore.
MF does not give you feedback or give you your shop ratings. Basically no news is good news. Once you have signed in click the CPI/Receipts Status Page on the left hand side under Shop Management. It's the last link before the Shopper Payment category. That will give you a full list of your current shops that have not yet been paid.

Interesting. I don't see any Lyme disease discussion in this thread. And quite honestly, you've been a bit of a snarky jerk lately. If you don't like my posts please toggle me and shut the heck up.

Sorry, bgriffin. I cannot deny that events and bad moods color my posts. I really need to shut down the computer earlier at night, to help prevent such.

On MarketForce's site, there's a link for Shopper Messages. Subjects about sea turtles, Lyme's disease, et al are there.
Okay, bgriffin. Now I'm concerned with myself, mea culpa. I feel it necessary to reply that though this thread was about Prophet, there was a post about MarketForce, which prompted my reply re sea turtles and Lyme's.

Apologize all you want but here's what I see. You've made several posts lately indicating your displeasure at discussions getting off topic. One of which was directed at me specifically for having a discussion with shop2live that I am currently suffering from Lyme Disease in a thread that you felt it shouldn't be discussed in. Fine. Then in this thread you make a comment about sea turtles and Lyme Disease, as if they are still topics that annoy you. I understand that sea turtles were recently mentioned on the MF main page, however I see nothing there about Lyme Disease. I can therefor only assume that you were referring to the previously mentioned discussion between s2l and I. Quite frankly, Lyme Disease makes you feel like complete @#$%&. We're talking complete exhaustion, body aches, head aches, and sleeping 12-14 hours a day. I went to Sonic for a slushy and the grocery store for 4 or 5 items one day last week and came home so exhausted I took a 2 hour nap. So while you may be annoyed by my off topic discussion of it. Quite frankly I don't give a flying eff if you like it or not.

Mod note: Let's just put it that way, 'k? smiling smiley

Wow that escalated quickly.

Anywho. I don't think that the reason I cannot see shops had to do with my not doing a good job on their shops. This happens whith literally every single prophet system including ones I have just signed up with, ones I've never done jobs with, and one I've done jobs with that I did very well on.

Does anyone on here know any schedulers from BRG, CHC, or Jancyn? I just need to contact a scheduler and figure out how to fix this.
Ok, this may sound really crazy to some of you techies out there, but I am new to all this MS. I am also a grandmother of 2 boys who know more about computers than I do, so my question is, "does the Prophet system work like Sassie? I only have an I pad and have basically just learned how to operate that!! With that being said, I guess one could say I am technically challenged!!! So far I haven't had any problems, but there are a few companies I would like to sign on with who use the Prophet System. Any and all advice would be G R 8 Ly appreciated. Thanks in advance to all my fellow MS Peeps!!!
I called one company and they said it had nothing to do with your previous performance. They explained there were simply no shops available. However, I don't know if I believe that. This company couldn't possibly exist on having virtually no shops.
The default for the system is to show that. When there are shops available but you are not eligible for, then it will show the city that the shop is located as available but when you place a checkmark and request shops, there will be no shops showing up for that city in the list of available shops.
Okay, so if that actually is the case then the schedulers are not posting shops or BRG is about to go out of business. I went through every single state and they had one shop. ONE. How is that possible? They must not post shops and go mainly on preffered shoppers.

Also, Baby Cakes, I would just sign up for them. It's a little different than Sassie but that's no reason not to sign up. You'll figure it out. You seem like a smart lady and it's fairly intuitive except for the problem we are discussing in this post. Each link is a sentece describing what it does like if it says "show me visits I can accept" then click on that sentence and it will take you to open jobs. If there are any.
I talked to a friendly scheduler from Monterey as I had the same problem. Turns out that there is a question in the profile that causes all shops to not show up. She switched the question from no to yes for me and now I see them. Maybe you are having the same problem. Email your scheduler to find out.

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.
What's the question?

I hate that with Prophet you can't see if you got paid, like you can with Sassie. I like Sassie and Shopmetrics so much more than Prophet.
@Phoebe70, not every company pays either the amount or when it is marked as paid on sassie. Just as some companies leave grades and comments on the shop at prophet and others choose not to do it.
