Albatross Luxury Shops

Hi Everyone. Has anyone done the luxury shops for Albatross? For $25, it's 162 questions? What has your experience been?

I've done several of their luxury shops. For me, I enjoy looking at the expensive purse or trying on the luxury pants or jacket. And the scenarios are usually very simple. However, the reports can be quite intense so if you don't get some sort of enjoyment out of doing the shop, it may not be worth it for you.

I should also mention they generally pay pretty fast, and their schedulers are very nice.

And FYI, we are not allowed to mention the name of a client and the MSC in the same post so you should probably edit your post.

Thanks! I too enjoy luxury shops and I do agree the reports are comprehensive but I think I'll skip it for only $25.
Yeah it can be a toss up for me sometimes. I will add that I can usually do their reports in 45 minutes (maybe slightly less), and I usually spend about 20 minutes onsite (unless I'm REALLY loving the items, which happens!), so $25 for slightly more than an hours work is not too bad for me.

Granted this doesn't assume in-transit time but I can usually walk (so I enjoy the exercise) or they are on my way home from work. If I had to drive a significant distance, I'd probably come to the same conclusion as you.
I've done a few of them. I enjoyed having a reason to go to the luxury shops (found a lovely sweater once that, surprisingly, fit me nicely, but it was way more money than I'd ever want to spend on a simple sweater). I'm not into jewelry but did a few of the jewelry shops. It was fun to try on super-expensive diamond earrings that I would be out of my mind to actually buy (I think one pair cost about 10-30% of the cost of our house!).
The upscale shops are my favorites, and I am doing one next week. I find the pay right in there with the other two MSC's I do this kind of shop for...one pays 28.00 for two evaluations.

Love Albatross....pay is right, shops are fun, and when you're buying a $5,000 watch you usually get offered espresso and water. I also love getting information on the luxury brands, makes me feel like I'm in the know.
I think Albatross is just okay, at least not the worst.

I worked with Albatross's schedulers from 4 different countries/places. What I don't like about Albatross:

a. Misfire policy - You do not always get your misfire pay, at least to me.

b. Below average editors - It takes week for them to process the surveys submitted.

c. Last payment

I will continue to work with them for sure, but only at my convenience (right shops at the right places at the right time).
I've always enjoyed their shops and the pay has always been super fast. I just regret they only have a handful of shops locally.
I get daily emails...most are for the airport, which I don't do, and the couple in Beverly Hills I didn't get.

Hi, I did 3 of these in September and have still been paid. My co-ordinator refuses to answer my e-mails. A lot of work involved. I would stay clear.
What is their form of payment and payment schedule? I performed a shop in mid-October.
I did a high end designer shop for them on Oct. 9th and was paid on Oct. 19th via paypal. The shop and report were easy. The scheduler kept in touch when I had questions.

I took a job with them for Sunday...now worried, why would one get paid and others not?

They pay by PayPal right? What is their pay schedule? 30, 60, 90 days? I can't find anything.
Hello,

My personal experience with Albatross has always been top notch! They used to pay within 60 days, but the more I worked for them, the less time it took to get paid. Now within 7-10 days I get paid!

The reports can be lengthy, but they're always very clear and not confusing. So sometimes, it's worth putting a little bit more effort in the report if you know you won't have to wait until the end of the following month to get your pay, that's how I see it.

The schedulers are always helpful and incredibly nice and accommodating if you have issues or emergencies...

xoxo
They don't send a reminder message when you get a job, or does that mean I didn't get it?

I was sent an email, but you can check on their site if you are assigned a job.
