CSE double space police

I haven't done a lot of shops, but the ones I have done, I have received a 10 rating on with the first survey submission. I received an email on a recent shop I did for CSE, asking me to go back and put in more input into my already verrrrry long narrative. I added the extra input as asked. I then received another email thanking me for resubmitting the survey, but next time, double space. I received an 8. AN 8! First of all, this was not commented on in the email about adding more input. Secondly, they take off two points for double spacing?! I'm so frustrated, I don't think I want to do any more shops with them. I know an 8 is an acceptable rating, but not for me. Comments?

Shopping Baton Rouge and loving it!

As long as they pay you for it why worry?

Being concerned about your grade is a bottomless pit. You're challenged with faceless editors who may or may not have proper editing training. You're challenged with multiple companies with a widely varying level of competence and standard.

You'll drive yourself nuts worrying about this.

Since I don't typically double space, I have forgotten on a couple of their reports. They have a lot of requirements that are a bit tedious, such as including a comment in your narrative for EVERY question, regardless if the answer was a yes or a no. This and the double space requirement are clearly explained in the guidelines, so if I forget, I'm okay with a slightly lowered rating. Better that than reducing my pay.
Try not to worry about it. Going forward, remember that this MSC wants double spaces. I am accustomed to double spacing. Some platforms, and boards, including this one, will compress to single space.
I am glad I saw this post. I was planning on applying for a storage shop with CSE that pays $15.00 but now I am thinking that the report is more work than I typically like for $15.00. Has anybody done these shops?

The trick I learned to cover this: i copy and paste the entire report into a word program, keeping it as text only. Then, I turn their questions into statements and write my narrative around the questions, deleting their question as I cover it in the narrative. I add in other details, make it flow in the order of the shop and use some of their same wording. I never miss a question and it makes it easier to write.

I missed them a couple of times but I've done enough for them, I remember to check now.
I have learned every company grades different. Any thing from an 7 and up is fine. You will qualify for every job if you have done enough shops for the msp and have a avg rating of 8. So as long as you don't always get 7's your fine. I have seen jobs that require an 8 avg for self assign. So take grading with a grain of salt for 7 or above.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
keikom ditto to what eveb said. CSE has a lot of interesting shops circuits that give you 48 hours to complete. In addition, I format my documents for CSE to show the details and markup on my word documents. This makes it easy to see if I have double spaced at the end of each sentence - which is required. CSE will pay for expenses such as parking and travel expenses not covered by other MSCs. The best part of shopping for CSE, for me, is the professional relationship they establish with their shoppers and the reliable and fast pay.

They are also pretty flexible - for schedulers, helpful and prompt in their responses.
Plus they are generous with their bonuses (sp?)!
