Shoppers Inc...how long to assign shops?

I applied for a route of 10 shops with Shoppers Inc. on Monday. I realize that was a holiday but now it's Wednesday and there's still no indication of the shops being assigned. There are a few other shops in the area that I'm going to that I could pick up, but they aren't worth just doing on their own, so I don't want to apply for them until I know my status with the Shoppers Inc shops.

Does anyone know how long they usually wait to assign the shops or have a contact name/number/address where I might be able to get some information?

Thanks much.

Friday is the shop end date, so why do they take their sweet time in assigning these shops???

Are they going to wait until the very last due date and assign these shops Friday morning??? Makes no sense at all...
The deadline for these shops is 9/12, but I need to do them by the 10th because I have an art show over the weekend.

I like Shoppers Inc. a lot but I find myself not working for them very much because it takes them so long to assign shops. It makes it difficult to build routes, and I don't like to get stuck with orphan shops. They have only one client in my area, a credit union. Over the years I've shopped for them, many times the e-mail goes out about shops and I apply, and I never hear .... then another e-mail comes out about the same shops. Frequently, I delete my application before I ever hear anything. It's been annoying to me enough times that I usually do not apply anymore. I see a lot of e-mails going out about these credit union shops, so others may be reluctant also to apply.
Not sure about Shopper's Inc specifically, since I've never found shops in my area when I've checked... but I have to say I *HATE* when MSCs do what AustinMom described... send out an email, you put in your app, you hear nothing... then they send out the very same email a couple of days later. And then finally deign to assign the shop at the latest possible date, so it's almost impossible to plan your calendar.

It's really a lack of respect for shoppers, like they think we have absolutely nothing else going on except waiting for that one shop, because it's the most important thing in the world, of course ~ and we put everything else that may come up on hold just waiting to see if it will *finally* be assigned. winking smiley

Yet another one that does this. SO darned aggravating. My unfavorite at the moment is RBG for doing this very thing.
