Glitchy Mintel Job Search?

Has anyone else encountered trouble when searching Mintel for jobs? Sometimes it shows several jobs, then I can search again in an hour or so and it shows none. Then I search again in another hour and it shows the same jobs that were there for first time.

With many web sites if you have the job open on your screen, I cannot see it or take it. If you decide to take it, it will not return, but if you decide not to do it, it will.
I don't have any jobs open with this though. I just went to the find jobs page and tried searching and there were no results. I just checked again and they were back.
What I am saying is not that you have jobs open and don't see other jobs, but rather that some other shopper is looking at the job. Only when they close their window without taking the job will it appear back on the job board.

I think I have experienced that too. I login and see a bunch of shops for this one company. Then I login a half hour later, all the shops for that company are gone. Then some time later, they are all back again. Is this what happens to you? When they disappear, the entire line of shops for that company disappears. I thought it was just me.

Yes, that is totally what happens. It's not just one or two jobs gone and then return. It was everything listed for my state.
I keep getting offers to open a bank account. I click on the offer and I can't do that shop because I already have a credit card with that particular bank. I open another offer to open a bank checking account, but I can't qualify for that offer because I have a savings account for that bank. There was an entire list but nothing I could do.
Yup. The bank account I opened under the program must be open for 90 days or there are penalties. On day 91 I will be in there to close it out. I have real customer outrage reasons to close it--which was also why I closed one there two years ago and was startled to find I was still in their database when I opened my new one. The bank I did is notorious for giving bad information, especially about its promotional programs.

Last time around the promotional benefit could be earned only in the first 3 months the account was open and would deposit to the account 'by the end of the year' (I opened in May). The next person I asked (when December had come and gone) told me the promotional benefit paid on the 1 year anniversary of the product. The merry, merry month of May came and went with no deposit of the promised promotion. Now the tale was 'approximately 4 months after your one year anniversary'. I pulled the account because they had also taken my 'forever free' account, 'terminated the product' and transformed it into an account with different rules that now made it a $5 per month account. Slime balls.

Now I have an account that had an 'incentive' that I performed the required circus tricks within two weeks of opening to earn the 'incentive', which was to be entered 'in the next billing cycle'. That didn't happen. They also dropped someone else's direct deposit paycheck into my account. When I spotted that 3 days after it happened, I called them. They wasted a half hour of my time while they tried to figure out what to do and assured me that 'within 4-5 days we will get this taken care of' and also would get my 'incentive' deposited into my account. It is now more than 3 weeks later and my 'incentive' is not there and the erroneous direct deposit is not gone. I can't name the bank because of the MSP name on this thread, but it has a red, white and blue insignia. Awful, awful excuse for a bank!

Yes, I would think so if they can deposit someone else's money into your account. That means they can do the same with your money and give it to someone else. I'd say that's a BIG problem.

Good to know, Flash. That's just outrageous. Especially for shoppers who get direct deposits for small amounts throughtout the month, you want a reliable bank that won't accidentally lose or "misplace" your money.
And for Pete's sake, when somebody TELLS YOU, "I have somebody else's money in my account" don't make it the responsibility of the recipient to do all of the legwork to get it corrected. Mere notification should be more than enough!
How does apply to become a shopper for Mintel

Check the list of companies. It is the first post of the first thread in the Mystery Shopping Company Discussion section of the forum. There is a list of about 200 companies there.
