Clean up the official list of companies?

There will be more than 250 companies on the list.

So many people put it in a lot of work on this! I think that Stilllearning deserves a lot of recognition for organizing the list and making sure everything happened.

Thank you!

Can you add an "updated on" date to the title or beginning of the list? (i.e., Updated on: Friday, December 19, 2014.) This will help reassure all members that they are receiving current information. And years down the line, it will be a good indicator of when another purge and update might be necessary.
The list has been updated! Please send me your corrections, additions, etc.

Thank you to everyone who has worked on this so far.

I have some more improvements coming soon, but the basic information is all there.

Looks like Service Scouts isn't around any more. I'm getting a "cannot open page because the server cannot be found" message.
Thanks. Sorry about that. My bookmark didn't work, and I googled it and tried that link, which also didn't work and still doesn't. I'll try a different browser.
You all did a great job tidying up the MSC list. I know it was a lot of work and very time-consuming. I was wondering ( not a criticism!) if there was a reason why the list was split into 2 alphabetical lists. I'm thinking maybe it was a limitation of the alphabetizer that was used. I took the list out on the web and ran it through the alphabetizer I found recently [http://alphabetize.org/], and it was turned into one continuos A-Z list. If you all want it I'll be glad to send it, or you can use the site I used and it takes seconds. Let me know if I can help.

I noticed that myself and PM'd Jacob about it but haven't heard back yet. I know there was talk about an "iffy" list (can't recall the exact term) and didn't know if that was it and the header got left off or something.

On December 20th, Wireless Store Shopper sent me a PayPal payment for work which I did for Technology Store Shopper. This has been the case for years. In fact, I have gotten 5 PayPal payments this year from Wireless Store Shopper, each on behalf of Technology Store Shopper.

However, Wireless Store Shopper is now shown in the "iffy" second "half" of the list. Nothing is simple, I guess.

The second list is for companies that were reported as out of business. Before the second list it should say: "The following companies appear to be out of business, or acquired by another company."

Please let me know if you don't see that message.

Perhaps Wireless Store Shopper is in business after all. I'll move it to the other list.
Jacob - I see the title above the second list and the intent of the two lists is clear. Wireless Store Shopper does not appear to list shops any longer, it just pays the bills for Technology Store Shopper.

Thank you for all of your work, and for this overall forum!

Jacob,

There is a second list, but in the official list it looks like 2 (thus making 3). It goes alphabetical, ending with White Clay, then starts over with A's. Here is an excerpt:

Wow, now, the list looks humongous! Haha, if I was a new shopper now and someone suggested I sign up with as many companies as possible on "The List", as soon as I saw it I would probably say something like WTF??? smiling smiley

I intend to live forever. So far, so good.

Jacob, were you nipping at the eggnog while making the list the first time? JK.
I want to say a great big thank you to everyone who worked tirelessly to update the list! Your work is very much appreciated. This is a great Christmas present.

It would be great if someone could post a link to the completed list here, so those who visit could just click it on.
The link is at the bottom of this page. Just scroll down and you will see it.
