I do not know about the rules....but they are legit. Funny about the grammar. I have done four shops for them and received the payment (gift cards) in the time frame they were supposed to arrive. I like them -- every once and a while they will call you and have an incentive to pay on top of the gift card and you will receive a visa gift card in addition to your payment. Just a nice incentive. If you already enjoy the places they want you to shop these are worth it :-)

Yeah, they are legit, and have nice restaurants, but do only pay via gift card to return to the same restaurant, at least what I have shopped for them.
Reminds me of an email I recently received from a Gfk scheduler. Such lack of punctuation, capitalization and grammar skills never cease to amaze me. Made me wonder if the scheduler has ever done a shop report.
They are a decent company. My only complaint is that they reimburse you by sending a restuarant gift card so you keep spending money at the brand. Plus, as with other reimbursements, the amount never covers the meal for us. And we order cheaply.
Can anyone give me an idea of what parts of the country Grass Roots America shops? Thanks in advance.
I have shopped for them in So California and they are a good company. I signed in to their website this morning, though, and did not see anywhere I could apply for any shops or see what was being offered. They only had my information available to see. If anyone in SoCal is currently shopping for them, please post here. Thanks!

Hi So Cal shopper. I can see all the normal jobs on my page set to 25 miles from West LA. except for the one location which is a mile from my house. I have contacted them several times about this and when I finally spoke with someone on the phone she told me to just call in to find out when the jobs are. This morning I got a reply from an email I sent and was told my account was reset for that location but I still cannot see it. Their phone lines have been busy for days so I am wondering if there is some glitch in their system they are not telling us about.

I shop for grassroots in Orlando Fl. I was referred by a friend. Honestly, the start up shop is a little tuff. But if you entertain, its a good way to go. With grass roots measures you can invite up to five guest.
I started with them when they were called Mystery Guests. I believe they allow you to choose shops on your own after you have successfully completed one or more shops. I find it worth the effort to get a local restaurant with a dessert like name whenever it is posted as available. Receiving a guest card makes it feel like I am getting a free meal (for two) and it is no problem ordering less than the card amount.
They have assignments other than one national client and they will provide you with a Visa gift card and reload the card when shops are completed for payment. There is one shop with no out of pocket expense at all in my area.
