I am inquiring about this company. They have a Wordpress site for their mystery shopping company site. There is nothing on the site about who they are or how long they've been around. No Sassie, no Prophet. They seem to be affiliated with Financial Shop Solutions, another company that does not seem to have a shopper site.

I replied to their posting on this site looking for financial industry shoppers in several states. They sent me an email asking for all the typical info, but they want it via email rather than having me enter it on a site. They said the shops will be "very different from what you are used to. FSS will provide you with a specific scenario that will need to be acted out in all of its details."

Is anyone familiar with this company?

Google Edlund Data Services and you will find Servanne Edlund is the President. She is a well known shopper and Vice President of the IMSC.

I trust you, LisaSTL, so I will remove the post to remove any suspicions. I did not know she was the VP.

Instead of removing the post how about changing the title and original post by deleting "Seems fishy." This is actually the first I've heard of her company and others may come here looking for more information.

The company just recently started a month or two ago. In fact, I spoke with Servanne just yesterday regarding jobs with her company. If you want to reference her further, look into the IMSC. But I agree with Lisa my taking off the fishy portion of the post.

Yes, that's how I found them. I replied to their request for bank shoppers.

Hi all! For those who do not know me, I am Servanne Edlund. I have been a full-time shopper since 2006. I have been the IMSC Vice-President since its creation in 2009. And as of November 2014, I am the proud owner of EDS - Edlund Data Services (I couldn't find a better name! LOL!).

All of these positions are independent from one another. That means that unless I know you personally or you sign up for my database, I will not be reaching out to you. In other words, if you have ever attended an IMSC Conference, unless we made a connection where email addresses were exchanged, I will not go into the IMSC Database and harvest names. Same if I have worked with you in a scheduler/editor position for other businesses. It would be unethical for me to rip the benefits of working for a larger company for my own profit.

EDS is an emerging mystery shopping and market research recruiting service. EDS specializes in small projects and hard to fill locations. There are two companies right now that I am working with: Financial Shop Solutions and Eagle Eye Retail Intelligence. Both are smaller companies (in terms of exposure and number of employees), and needed help in very specific areas (in terms of both geographic areas, and types of shops).

For larger projects, I gladly refer companies to larger scheduling companies. It only makes sense. I am a one-woman show working from home. Realistically, until EDS grows a bit bigger, you will only see sporadic job postings from me.
