Wierd Consumer Critique Solicitation

I have been MS'ing for the last two years and have applied with only a few companies. I just got this email from "Consumer Critique" on another email address I DON'T use for MS'ing. I think it's a scam and I wanted your opinion on it as well.

Thanks

Here is a copy of the email:

Definitely looks like the a scam. I would report to spam cop and then delete.

And there is, indeed, a company called Consumer Critique, Inc. but they have their own website and would be having you enter your personal information there, on a secured site. Also take a look at where the email came from because Consumer Critique uses @consumercritique.com for their email. Unfortunately there is no list of employees who might be contacting the public on their website, so I can tell you nothing about Thomas Bradley. But a $200 mystery shopper assignment is, in my experience, a job that is an in depth narrative and pages and pages of check lists with commentary that are unlikely to be handed out at random to unknown shoppers.

So yes, working through the pieces, I concur that this is a scam and eventually you will be sent a bogus but authentic looking check to deposit to your bank both for your 'payment' and to wire transfer the bulk of on as a 'shop' of Western Union. Hopefully your bank would not even allow you to deposit the check because they have seen too many of them already. But assuming you do deposit it, in several weeks when the real account owner disclaims the check as a forgery, it will be backed out of your account and you will be out of pocket any funds spent or wired on as well as any fees the bank charges for a bad check.
And note they used two different names. Consumer Critique, and Mystery Shopper Inc.

Which is amusing because Consumer Critique, once you get into it, says "Thank you for your interest in Consumer Critique and MarketStat!" But the MarketStat refers to the reporting.
I've gotten these same type solicitations and you entitled it correctly from the very beginning!! "WEIRD"!! Definitely, delete and don't waste time with offers that are "too good to be true!" It's sad they have to be out there trying to prey on unsuspecting shoppers.

Once again! This forum is a huge blessing to so many! Thanks everyone!
I just got this one tonight. I'm forwarding it to Consumer Critique, Inc.

Yes, don't all mystery shoppers work for $100-$150 an hour? ROTHLMAO on that one.

These scammers are so off base, but they appeal to people's greed.

I have just started getting this "Consumer Critique" message (copied below) added to the bottom of every reply or forward I send.

I know it's a scam - but how do I get rid of it? I don't know where to go to make it stop.

Thanks ! for any help!

Sounds like you have snagged an ugly viral something or other. First I would check the signature that is used on my outgoing email,as it sounds as though the thing has crept in there and perhaps you can use the most direct approach of just wiping it out there. Then check that your virus scanner is current and scan in case it is viral and might reinfect.

I just spoke with somebody who received money orders from "Consumer Critique". This is a scam, and has nothing to do with the former consumer critique company that is now under MarketStat.
Yes It is in FACT a SCAM! ANd I have been charged by my bank for the fake money orders I cash and wired.
Thank you for letting us know, Cherri. I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am that you got taken by these scammers. It is a very ugly, ugly thing they are doing to people of good will who are trying to do the 'right thing'.
