New Pegasus Report

I note that the new, 2015 version of the online report for the Pegasus gas stations seem to be much shorter and faster to perform. No questions about oil products sold or if the station does oil changes.

However, there is a question about an attendant's name tag and uniform (shirt). They are still requiring a photo of the upper body that would include the uniform and the name tag. That seems redundant to me and questionable as well. If the attendant refuses the upper body photo, how does one show the photo? If the attendant agrees to the photo, the photo requirement is the same for the uniform shot and the name tag shot. Yet they ask for a photo of both.

I'm certain they shall "fix" this question.

Nonetheless, the report is much easier, IMO.

I agree, the report seems much smoother with the only narrative box at the end of the report. I like it better.

I don't do my first new Pegasus shop until tomorrow but I think there has been more added than eliminated.

Added: 1. Ask attendant to turn outside lights during daytime shop & report. 2. Report on air and water hoses. 3. Report on credit/debit card reader and receipt. 4. Must have & report on Speedpass.

Eliminated: 1. Types of oil.

What am I missing?

There was some conflict concerning the Speedpass. One of the questions asks which Speedpass locations were not working, which could mean checking all pumps. That is not the case - only the pump you used and one other are required. I am told the outside light do not need time to warm up but can be checked by simply clicking a switch.

I agree that two photos of the attendats shirt/name tag is redundant and I think one photo should suffice for both the shirt and name tag requirement.

I am told there will be additional pictures/reporting in the convenience store starting next month but there will be an increase in pay. Hopefully more than $.50.

In any case, I really like these shops and have already re-done my worksheet. I'll know more tomorrow.
You don't have to count paypoints and if CC applications are at each paypoint. Or at least the ones I have done already. As for the employee photo, I was told that the first photo should be the torso/company shirt photo and the second photo should be a name tag photo. But my guidelines do not say that. This client's report/the MSC has not been fully prepared to these changes.
I just called the MSC concerning the shirt/name tag and was told one picture submitted at the end of the report would suffice. So that is what I plan to do tomorrow. It's a good thing we have this forum to get answers because, as much as I like this MSC, they are very vague.
I called the MSC this afternoon and I was told what I posted above. The team members are nice and all but they do not even know the guidelines and reports for their own projects. I was trying to submit my report and it said that I was missing an employee photo. Since the guidelines never said anything about a second photo showing just the name tag, I did not have one to upload. But I did have one horizontal and one vertical photo of the employee's shirt so she told me to submit one of those for the second question. I have a feeling that they will be revamping the reports in the near future.

I think you are right and I will take two pictures of the shirt, one a closeup of the name tag, just in case.

Thanks
Might as well since you will already be there and have the employee in front of you.
IMO, the photo requirement for name tag and uniform being for one of each shall be merged into one photo (at some point).

A station owner told me that his employees (who were women) were offended by the requirement. "Especially the big breasted and overweight ladies," he said.

I am certain that he was being honest. However, I noticed him looking at my chest.

Nonetheless, I realised that if I was noticing him looking at mine, I can certainly understand the female attendants wariness of the photos taken by some chappies.

I did explain that the photos did give the station proof of the attendant's apparel and name tag.

Other than that requirement, it is the customer survey questions that should be noted: One should note if there is evidence of the survey at the pump, in the shop and upon the back of the receipt. I've noted that many of the receipts do not have the survey information. Some are on the in-store receipt, but not upon the pump receipt (or vice versa).
I have taken to now taking a photo of the back of the receipt with the visit number (as is required) whilst still at the station. I've also re-written my cheatsheet to reflect these areas.

The question about the station outdoor lighting is quite simple. In most instances (for my area anyway), due to the weather and low angle of the sun, the stations already have had their lights on. In situations where they have not (on those infrequent sunny days), I've simply asked the attendant to turn them on. If questioned, I point to the request on the LOA.

So far, I've performed 15+ shops without issue.
I will be doing my first 5 new Pegasus shops today and I plan to take 2 photos of the attendant's shirt. I will zoom in to the name tag on the 2nd shot. I plan to submit the 1st photo for both requests much like the photo of both receipts. I will have the 2nd photo in reserve so that I do not have to return. If accepted, problem solved. I'll let you know.

I have done hundreds of these shops and have had only 2 people decline the torso photo. One was a women who felt her rights would be violated so naturally, I backed off. The other was a male attendant who had a company shirt on with a name tag. Maybe his picture was also in the Post Office. I didn't push and took a picture of the counter in both cases.

I anticipate some annoyance with the attendant having to turn the outside lights on but I will cross that bridge when I ask.

Expecting snow so I am getting ready to leave.
I did lots of shops for this client in November and December, but haven't taken any for this month yet since it's too early for incentive requests. I can't see doing these for the base rate, even if I can self-assign plenty of them. If I can do one shop for $40, why would I do four shops to make the same amount? I guess others have reasons for taking these at the base rate, but I just don't see that as a good choice for me.

EDIT: I also need to get myself a Speedpass before I can do the new ones anyway smiling smiley Actually, I think I'll do that now.

I am doing 5 today, traveling a total of 44 miles and earning $90. A 4 to 1 income to expense ratio in my formula. It will take no more than 4 hours - snow will slow me down a little. Nice, IMHO.
I do base pay shops and also pick up bonuses when available. I stay busy with base rate shops when that is what's available. Bonused shops are few and far between here, and while I'll take advantage of them to add to my total, I don't count on them and I don't wait for them. I think my plan is called dumb and happy and busy.

Mary Davis Nowell. Based close to Fort Worth. Shopping Interstate 20 east and west, Interstate 35 north and south.
These shops are all snatched up in my area so if you don't grab them immediately and then ask for auto-rescheduling, you will rarely see them again. I have all evening eligible shops so I am automatically getting paid extra to do them. Take 3-4 in the same area and it is worth my time for the money and reimbursed gas.
They sure beat the pay on the Sunoco shops. If I can tolerate the cold, I will be doing most of mine in the evening as well. After freezing my fingers off last winter, this winter is easy peasy so far.

OK, I've debriefed todays visits and submited the same picture of the attendant twice - one for the shirt and again the name tag. They went through and I'll see in a day or two if they get bounced. I look at this the same way as submitting a photo of both receipts twice.

There was some confusion concerning the air and water hoses. There were no water hoses at any of the stations I did today. This time of the year in this area they would be ice hoses. I answered yes to the question that refers to air and water, even though there was no water, and put an explanation at the bottom in the additional info section. This may sound confusing but anyone who has debriefed this month may understand.

There are definately some glitches that the MSC has to work out but overall I found the debriefing quicker nd easier. Hoorah.
For the stations that I have done, the shops were approved with the same photo used for the uniform and name tag.

For the water hose or water availability, the stations I have done allow the customer to fetch water from inside the shop.
LIJake, why are you submitting the same photo for the two different purchase receipts? There should be one photo for the fuel purchase and one photo for the store purchase. There are two separate file uploads. Now when you go to do the invoice which is after you have already submitted the report, you can submit one photo of the two receipts together which is used for reimbursement purposes. I think it is redundant to have to submit the receipt photo with the invoice when it has already been attached to the report. But I am sure that the the invoice goes to a different department than where the reports go to.

My stations had air/vac machines, not air/water machines. I answered "yes" to the question and explained the situation in the comment section at the end of the report. Did you notice that the commentary boxes after each section are now gone from the reports?
@Sybil2: I've always placed my 2 receipts side by side and taken the photo. i do that whilst at the station. I also upload them onto my laptop and review them before leaving.

I submit that photo 3 times - in-store receipt, fuel receipt and invoice receipts.

I've never been questioned.

Sybil, I guess I wasn't clear - I take one photo of the fuel purchase and store purchase together then flip them over and take a picture of the backs for the DCS and submit that. I have been doing this for many, many debriefs and as far as I now it is what they want. I think we are all doing the same thing but perhaps my description was confusing.

Air pump and vac makes sense. Water hose makes no sense at all. I'll br debriefing some more this afternoon and I'll see if there are any changes.
