Marketforce sees a plethora of new shoppers applying for work

...is the ONLY reason I can see for the ridiculously low fees they have for the bank & headphone shops here in Western Canada (across Canada?) 8$ for an in store sales evaluation and discrete photos?

Yikes.

I stand side and let the hordes of new shoppers who don't know the value of their own time go for these. You'll make Marketforce a lot of money by doing these. Congratulations.

Now I shall move on to the big paying show home shops.

I know the fees are the same for those shops in America and Canada. The fees may go up eventually, if there are any left. sad smiley
I will patiently wait for those who cancel later in the month and happily pick up some heavily bonused shops.
It seems to me marketforce schedulers are always calling shoppers offering bonuses-not always huge. I usually wait for a phone call.
At least they pay something. Several MSCs are offering reimbursement only for restaurant shops. Many offer half of what MF offers.

One is offering $4 for Sunoco shops with $2 gas and $1 max reimbursement for an additional required purchase.

MF by far is offering much better fees and reimbursement than most others.

Folks, it is all about location, location, location. Here in my big city the month begins with pages of shops within 10 miles, some of them multiple at the same location. The popular (not perceived as dangerous?) neighborhoods go first. Some shops I know they have I have never actually signed on early enuf to catch. Within a couple of days most are gone. The hard to fill ones disappear with an occasional $1-2 bonus when the shop is at night usually or some of the $8 cell phone shops. My birthday falls on the 15th of the month. They offer a birthday bonus. On the 15th when the rest of you are looking for bonuses there is usually nothing for me to choose from but it IS nice that they said Happy Birthday. Bonuses by phone, oh yes, I remember once getting an early morning phone call to drive an hour away thru traffic for an additional $2.
But hey, we have other things going for us in this big city. If there is some fast food restaurant I like I could probably eat there almost every day within a few miles. And weather is never an issue.
So, they're cheaping out and (from what I am reading elsewhere on here) trying to find ways to reject shops more often? Got out at the right time, I suppose.
I don't think any MSC takes pleasure in rejecting shops. It IS a p.i.t.a. for them to have them re-shopped again.
Anyone else unable to get on their web site for the last 8 hours? It's 9:50am central here.
I agree with Sandy-location is everything. I also believe it is the scheduler who contacts you. Marketforce will blow up your phone, like they are doing today. I asked for a $2.00 bonus (yes, your read that right, two whole dollars) and they refused to give it to me. This is a grocery shop they need shopped this weekend. Funny how sometimes you will get a 15.00 bonus with the same deadline. Whatever.

They called me about a shop and offered a $2 bonus two days after they sent a premium-fee email for that same shop offering a $3 dollar bonus that I didn't bite on. When I refused to do it for less than a $5 bonus, she said "But you're already going to be in that town doing a shop on the 15th". I said it didn't matter, I'll wait for the bonus I want, or someone who needs the money worse than me will take it first.

I'd have thought that, too, but if the client doesn't get the desired results...they're only paying once, period. They're not worried about the MSC trying to find someone to do the shop and rightfully so.

You are correct, though, in the sense that it is a major PITA and egg-on-face moment for these MSCs. I mean...GFK just sent me an e-mail about 30 minutes ago for a bonused wing shop. That's no big deal...except that I parted ways with them in October after they rejected a take-out shop that involved a 28+ minute wait time and gave me a bunch of dumb reasons for that rejection, too. I thought that account deactivation button was good for something. :/
