I have performed shops for Gapbuster in the distant past. They used to do a fast food shop at one of the major chains that was kinda worth it for the shops that were bonused (otherwise, the regular fee wasn't worth my time). But they lost that client, and for a while, I think they discontinued shops in my area. But I never had any issues with them. I know they are back but I haven't noticed any shops that I am willing to perform. Gapbuster as a company was fine. Of course, as with any mystery shop scenario, always be sure you are dealing with that company itself...and not some scammer, spoofing itself as the genuine company. If they want you to cash checks and send them the difference, that's a scam.

I work for GAPbuster Worldwide. If you have any queries, feel free to email me on ShopperAssignmentsUK@gapbuster.com, use my name as subject.
I work there too and they are just fine for me. They pay a little late, but they do pay. The one I am in touch with is a really nice guy and helps me out anytime, and I also get some great bonuses when it is the end of the month.
I did more than a few FF shops for them that had huge bonuses. The reports aren't hard, just long and they do require you stick exactly to their scenario even if it makes it obvious you're a shopper (you have to order items separately even if there is a special that costs less). They still owe me money from last fall that they refuse to pay.

Hi Sando, please email me at shopperAssignmentsUK@gapbuster.com , I will look into the money owed. Please use Daniel as subjet.
I remember reading quite a few bad things about not not all that long ago. they have a "habit" of terminating when they tire of you........
I loved Gapbusters and I think they loved me as they often called from the other side of the world and offered me great bonuses. Guess what - I got too old for them. Bummer.
I took the plunge and accepted a shop from them that pays well. Wondering if Canadian shoppers are paid on time. I think their website said monthly but I avoided doing shops for them in the past because of what others have wrote on here.

I just posted my thoughts on them. I didn't see this thread.

My first shop took about 6 months to be paid. My 2nd shop was paid on time but the reimbursement took a few weeks longer. Have done two more in January; hoping payment will be coming soon. If these are paid on time then I will continue...if not, I think I'm done with them.
I always loved doing mystery shops for them. I was always paid fairly and on time. I hadn't completed a shop for them for about a year because there wasn't anything that interested me. Well the other day they called and offered a nice bonus if I would do a shop for them and I agreed. I did the shop (location was a 1 hour drive for me) and entered it as soon as I got home. When I submitted I didn't get a confirmation so I sent them an enquiry to ensure that it went through. No response and then the next day I got a notice that the shop was due. I sent another enquiry stating that it was done and I had entered it but did not get a confirmation when I submitted it. I went back on the site and the shop was rejected and I received another email stating that I was no longer required to complete the shop although it was completed the day before. The enquiries are still sitting in the inbox waiting for a reply. Needless to say I am not happy about this at all. I drove to another city an hour there and another hour back home, completed and submitted the shop (although I believe there was something wrong with their system) I promptly sent an enquiry telling them it was done and if they could confirm that they received the results and then had it rejected with no communication from either one of the two enquiries I sent. At this point I wouldn't recommend them.
I have also been curious about this company they have shops near me with huge bonuses but I keep reading bad things about late payments and that scares me... so I havent accepted anything

I did a bunch of shops for them in January. Two got rejected because I once forgot to ask for ketchup (and told the truth) and the other was that I asked for a piece of lemon in my iced tea. The scheduler helped me out a bit, but their pay system is very difficult to figure out if or if not they paid me correctly. The total seemed about right, but they never sent me any sort of receipt nor email, when they DID pay, so I am a bit confused Regardless, though picky, I did 2 wrong things (I guess) in those rejected shops. I will not do them without bonuses as they are really two shops in one and the reports take forever, and the out of pocket money adds up.The schedulers there seem very nice.

Hi,

If you log on to our homepage, there is an tab which says Payment. You will be able to see the status of the assignment, and payment for each assignment you have conducted. If you have any issues, please email us on ShopperPaymentsUSA@gapbuster.com

Thanks,
Daniel
How do I ask Cricket2009 this question: What happened for you to say you were too old for them? I cannot seem to ask it as a reply to her comment. Thank you.

I have reviewed this and you were paid for this particular assignment on the 6/11/2014, take 1-2 days to transfer internationally.

however, I noted that there were an issue with another assignment you conducted and was not paid. This has been resolved and was paid on 10th Feb 2015.

Thanks,
Daniel
Hmm, the website says a month but someone at Gapbuster said I will get a payment at the end of March. The payment section is now updated to show it is processing. I hope I will have good things to say about this company in regards to payment. *crosses fingers*

I registered with Gapbusters not too long ago. I have yet to do the orientation/training though.

During periods, such as now, where I'm not shopping much, I find new companies, register, then I go through and do training.

It's helpful to know all this inside company info from other shopper in advance. I wish I had been on this forum a long time ago. It's also nice to see that Daniel from Gapbusters is on here also, offering assistance for unresolved issues. I take that as an indication that this is a company makes an effort to keep shoppers.

Where are we going... and why are we in a hand basket?
