Presto Maps never works?

Regardless of where I am and of my location services are on, my Presto map can never locate me. I realize sometimes if I'm in a bad area the GPS might not work, but it normally just ends up going to a blank white map. Does anyone else have this issue?

And when is this going to be an app?

It works fine on my computer, haven't tried it on my cell phone lately but it worked the last time I did. On the computer I just enter a zip code where I want to work and the map populates with shops there.

Try a different browser maybe. It works for me on Chrome, but it can't locate me itself, I have to tell it the zip code. I don't use location services on my computer.

Time to build a bigger bridge.

I have to enter my zip as well. If I don't, I get San Francisco. I live in the state of Texas.

I'm in Ontario, it has found me on chrome and ff on two different computers in different cities no issue. I'm not entering my PO code, it's locating on its own.

Hmmm I'll try since I have an Android. I haven't tried in Chrome. I'm about to get an iPhone-- do those who have iPhones have trouble?

On an iphone you can turn the location service on and off. Don't know about other types.

Hey Oswaltkp,

That particular failure (white screen) can happen if there's a network failure, but if you're seeing it every time, it is more likely that you opted to NOT share your location when accessing the Presto map at some point in the past. In other words, it's a browser preference, and the exact way to change it depends on the browser and device. If it's Chrome on an Android phone, you can open Chrome, then click the settings key, select Settings from the menu and then Location. Look for an entry that says insta.prestomobilesurveys.com and make sure it is set to ALLOW location access. Does this help?

Mine never works only because I always have GPS off. I just enter an address and go from there

On my computer it keeps locating me on a ferry route in the middle of Puget Sound. I hope I'm on that boat and not swimming to Bainbridge Island!

I put my address in and it has no trouble.

Wow, that's really excellent. We'll assume you were safely on the ferry and not swimming in the briny deep! I wonder if it was using some method like cell tower triangulation to find that?

Make sure the "P" icon is not triggered, then it only searches for Presto Instant shops, touch the logo to toggle it off and on. Also, make sure you are logged in (not in Preview Mode).
