Coyle job board

Am I the only one seeing MAYBE 12 hotel jobs listed nationwide for March? Got the email last night that they loaded up the month so you'd think there would be more.

I did not see very many either....bummed was looking for something in Denver at the beginning of the month.
I don't think the hotel shops are loaded up at the start of the months like the restaurants do. They kind of come on in waves on their own.
Take a look at the alternate site and you might see the large national hotel chain there....
Out here it's not just Coyle. I haven't seen a single hotel shop in my state on ANY job board yet this year. Though I do seem to remember hotel shops picking up around March or so in previous years so we'll see.
I wonder how they decide which site to put things on. Seems like the ones on the ShopMetrics site would normally be on their main site. Thanks for the heads-up, Steve.

Anyone know if the forms and assignment are the same for the hotel chain that is now on Metrics that used to be on the other board?
Hello Bella,

The report forms may be somewhat different, but I believe that the majority of the evaluations you will find on Shopmetrics will be the same (or even new) that were listed on the main website.

Also, for evals, please do check both websites and your dashboards to confirm (or decline) if you were scheduled for an evaluation.

Thank you! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

That's not uncommon. From MSing and conversations I've had with people in the industry in the past, January and February are typically the slowest months of the year for Hotel shopping. A lot of this has to do with contracts coming up for renewal at the end/beginning of the year, so most companies are hammering out their contracts during those months.
Kimberly - Are the reports on ShopMetrics scored in the same manner? I have not been able to find a score on the platform.
There's a great one in midtown Manhattan right now but unfortunately I'm not eligible since I did that location back in December. I have to wait 6 months. I really want to start doing more hotel shops.
The highest score on shopmetrics is 1.00 (100%). I believe they score down from there. I have only done shops on Shopmetrics and wonder if Coyle would recognize my score from there and give me a shop on their main site.

I don't know if they automatically check or not, but I mentioned it when I applied for my first shops on the main site just in case they don't.
@Roxie, good idea. Thanks for the tip.

Where do you see this score?

I received a detailed grade from them via email. I got a score of "1" for all sections, which normally would panic me, but it showed 100%. Someone posted somewhere they got .85, so I deduced any infraction get graded down from 1.00.

I did. Here is a little part of it:

This is information about your mystery shop:

Your grading for this job:
Submitted with 24 hours; collateral material forwarded.: 1 (Yes)
Client objectives met.: 1 (Yes)
Re-submit: Review did not need to be re-submitted.: 1 (Yes)
All checklist fields have values, times, or required information entered.: 1 (Yes)
Checklist matches narrative; no inconsistencies.: 1 (Yes)
Comments provided for ’No’ and 'N/A' scores; 3-5 words only.: 1 (Yes)
Objectivity: Phrasing of observations was non-emphatic, dispassionate, and without emotional weight.: 1 (Yes)
I talked to somebody from Coyle a month or two back; they're looking to slowly migrate all the jobs over to the shopmetrics site eventually. For now, you're best off checking both.
That is such a terrible idea!! I have completed a couple of hotels on shopmetric site now and it is a terrible system. It takes me way way longer. Maybe Coyle is trying to cut back. I see that support is no longer available on the weekends.
I agree; I like the old website better. I just received an assignment via Shopmetrics, but can't tell the actual visit date!
Eileen,

(and anyone else being scheduled on Shopmetrics)

1. START DATE = The day the evaluator physically completes the shop.
DUE DATE = The day that the report is due to be submitted.

If you see: Start 2015-04-06 and Due 2015-04-07 - please perform the shop on Monday, April 6, and then submit by 11:59 PM on Tuesday, April 7.

2. I actually work split Saturday and Sunday, 9 AM - 1 PM EST, so if you cannot reach support, and have an urgent reschedule please send an email to: scheduler@coylehospitality.com Still off on Wednesdays though, my computer stays dark - otherwise, my house would look like a tornado went through it!

3. Scorecards in Shopmetrics: If you wonder what your scorecard was but cannot find it, please email support. Support will forward to the editor who completed your review; just make sure you indicate evaluation name and date.

Two things I did notice with Shopmetrics, that some evaluators are unable to find or have trouble with:

*Client Scope of Services: If you remember from the main site, this link appears in the confirmation email which is sent when the evaluation is scheduled. However, evaluators not accustomed to Shopmetrics cannot find it. The link appears in the "Survey Summary" under "Client Objectives".

*Auto-Generated Emails: If you are not receiving email notifications, please double check to make sure that your email program (gmail/yahoo/aol/hotmail/msn/etc...) has been set to accept auto-generated mail from our domain. This is called "white-listing". Please check the settings in your email and then add our domain(s) coyle.shopmetrics.com and coylehospitality.com as a "safe-sender" / "accepted" to your email program. That should help you receive the notices. If you are unsure how to do so, I just did a quick google search (what is white listing) and there are several help sites for the various email programs.

We currently have multiple Client opportunities available across the US in Shopmetrics and also remaining on the main website for April, so please take a look! I am working my way down the lists and scheduling as quickly as possible, reviewing evaluator bid requests for the locations.

Thanks!

As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me directly.

-Kimberly
