EPMS --- It's not worth it.

ELLIS is a great company but WE are also great for being able to complete those reports, lol smiling smiley My first report took me 3 hours. I actually had to take a nap in between. I don't do them for less than $50.

I don't have a problem with their reports. Their platform took some getting used to, as did ACL's. After a few though, I speed through them.

'Shop anyone' is my favorite. Feast or famine, those. The past couple of weeks, there have been more Shop Anyones on the board than in the past several months. Feast or famine, and I grab when it's time to Feast.
I just wanted to share my most recent experience with them. This was my second shop with them and it was targeted. I had a lot of trouble with the property. They only answered the phone once and it wasn't the target. I emailed them to let them know and that I either needed a due date extension or to have it unassigned since I didn't get a hold of the target. I called EPMS and the person said I had to email the scheduler. One week later I get an email saying I hadn't called in a week and it was unassigned.

I've done several apartment shops (with other MSCs) and this was my first time having issues with the property even answering the phone. I'm not sure how having it unassigned is going to impact me, but I thought it was weird that 1) they didn't respond to my email and 2) the property didn't answer the phone much!
I'm curious. While waiting for a response why didn't you keep calling the property? I've never been kept waiting a week for an email response. I won't argue that phone calls can be hit and miss depending on who answers. I've had my share of rude ones. On the other hand I tend to be assertive so issues get resolved.

I have done apartments before and they're GREAT if you choose the right ones. In fact, that is true for all Mystery Shops. You have to weigh out the benefits and usually it ends up WE pay the companies to shop/work?? I look at the company, scheduler, editor, shop fee, report time and survey time. I NEVER look at the freebies because when it comes down to it there's nothing for free! I told a company I rather work for a big fee and buy my own groceries or whatever. It took me 45 minutes for the tour of the apartment which was real nice and a pleasure and the report to my surprise wasn't repetitive. I made $50.00 and I could have made $75 if I followed all their rules on being on time, etc. They give you bonus dollars for being on time, certifications, etc. I was new to MS and that was my first assignment so It took me awhile but I would definitely do it again. If you want to make great money with reports being simple do nursing homes, assistant living, etc. They pay up to $95.00 full fee without bonus or exceptions. I only do shops that pay high because the companies prey on the weak to do their freebies and small pay! Good Luck!
I don't know if I'm allowed to say the company to work for but their always looking for someone to go to their apartments and that is Remington.
They require 3-5 phone attempts per day. By the end of day two or three, if I've been unsuccessful at reaching a target, I email and/or phone. If EPMS doesn't answer the phone, try again, in 30 minutes or so. They will answer, and they will work with the shopper. Shoppers need to be mindful of the due date.
