Don't work for GfK!!

Beware of the mystery shop company called GfK. I spent hours on the report and going to the store. However, the proofreader gave me a grade of a 1 and did not pay me. I complained she said your report was late. You also did not answer 2 questions in enough detail. I told her I tried to email her that I could not log on to the website to login my report and she never replied. Therefore, the shop was late. I guess I was a good scape goat.I tried to email her back and discuss this but she never responded after several attempts it did irritate me though that I spent my time and effort doing the report and going to the store..if we are expected to communicate in a timely manner then they should also be held to the same standards. We all work together for the same goal.... to give good customer service to the client.

I am sorry to hear about your experience. I have enjoyed working for Gfk and always found them fair. Maybe it was that specific person?
Yes I'm sure it was but no response from the website either.I also reported it to the scheduler she said that was not her area she could not help me.
Just how late was it? Are we talking about hours or days?

Time to build a bigger bridge.
I would say under 12 hours and thats because I could not log on to the website which I explain to the proofreader.but I got no response back from her.I emailed the scheduler she said she could not help. I really didn't know who else to complain to to resolve this problem
Your post here lacks relevant details. Why couldn't you access the website? Did you have any contact information on your assignment email or instructions that included phone numbers and/or alternative ways to contact someone at GFK? What information did you not provide seeing you had all that extra time to make sure you covered everything?

One of the schedulers from GfK reads these boards, hopefully she'll see your post and offer either help or explanation. I do know they are fussy about deadlines (well, most MSCs are) but I don't understand why there is no response about not being able to get onto the site.

I had a bad experience with them recently as well. I did a revealed cell phone audit shop for them recently and I had to upload everything via their APP while in the store. I did all this per the guidelines. I also performed the shop on the day I was scheduled. I was told later my shop was being rejected due to it being performed "too early".

What?

I did the shop on February 25, which is the date I was given in the email and the one in my shop guidelines. I guess it was supposed to be a part of the March round of shops but how was I supposed to know this?

So now I don't get paid even though I did everything right on my end. Not super impressed with GFK.
Do you have the original February 25th shop date/deadline in writing? Did you save the email assignment or print out a hard copy? If you have written proof of February and not March, I would definitely fight it.

yes. I save everything.

Maybe too early as in time of day?

No longer a fan of GFK. they have really gone down hill and I have been with them since they had their own platform not sassie.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
The schedulers are good folks. The editors.....hit or miss. GFK is aware of the issues from my conversations with them. Hopefully they can sort it out.
The App is optional for these audits, not mandatory.

I work for GFk without any problems I get paid on time and schedulers get back withme in 24 hours if I have any questions.
I have never had any problems with them! I'm always trying to find and do shops for them! They are great about paying and I love they pay twice a month unlike anyone else! I think they are great! Sorry you had a problem with them,
Twice a month payment is not unique to GFK. Mintel, Bestmark, Trendsource and some others do it as well.

That wasn't really my issue though.
So did you contact someone at the MSC to fight for your money since you said that you have all the written proof showing that the shop could be done in February instead of March?
I know we did not have these specific audits available for February. They ran from 3-6-15 to 3-16-15. These audits will be making a return for 4-1-15.

Never had any problems with GFK. Always paid timely, and never any hassles from editors. Otherwise, I would not do any more of their shops and tell them to GFK themselves!
I haven't seen her "facts", so I cannot judge that (not my place to judge it anyways; above my pay grade). However, I do know that this program was NOT running in February, as I do schedule for GfK. This program ran in January, with the re-visits done in March. The program starts back up in April.

I would not call a shopper a liar; I just stated the facts of the program.

So HeatherB's "facts" and written proof are NOT accurate?

Are you saying there were not any shops that couldn't be completed in January and may have run over into February? It's also possible the scheduler simply entered the wrong date on both the email and shop log. If Heather has the written proof there is no reason she should not be paid.

Had I been the scheduler, I would have paid her if it was my error; even if it came out of my fees for the month. She is not my shopper because if she was, we wouldn't even be discussing this, as it would have been resolved.

I can only state what I know, which is these audits ran in January and March.

I am not calling her a liar either. She made some statements, some of us offered advice and she gave the impression that she has not been paid. I am just trying to figure out if she misunderstood the guidelines in which case she should not get paid or if the scheduler made a mistake so she should be paid.

If there are payment issues, it could affect all shoppers who work for this MSC. If the shopper made an error then it is time for us to move on.
