Bare Payment methods

I filled out direct deposit and paypal information when I signed up with Bare and have been patiently waiting for last months jewelry shops to be paid out. I got the invoice showing what all three added up to (and panicked as it was USD and didn't specify). Apparently it is coming via cheque though. How do I get this changed in future as I already submitted paypal and DD?

My bank doesn't deal too well with US cheques and apparently it'll be weeks once I even get it to process it :/

I recall that they don't use certain forms of payment for non u.s. shoppers. its in the q&a on their web site. I have had 2 months (not in a row) that they say were sent and I checked the address in my profile. everything was correct. one was sent 12/15/04 the other 3/15/05. they will only send another check after 6 months or charge you $30 for the stop payment. I question if they actually sent them, or if they got lost in the mail? the december one, according to them, has not been cashed. too early to tell on the other one.
It says check of electronic payment for Americans and Canadians :/ I was really hoping for not getting a paper check sad smiley
Electronic payment should be direct deposit.

Yeah I know, but it didn't happen. My DD info is in my profile. I went back to look at the payment invoice they sent, it specifies check.
Is it possible they always send the first payment by check? Some companies do that, why is anyone's guess. I don't get why payments over $500 are sent by check instead instead of DD. At one point I could have sworn the line of crap they were giving was something to the effect of minimizing fraud. The problem, the chances of fraud are greater with a paper check via USPS than a DD to a verified account.

I have no idea why they do it that way, but they do. For The last 18 months, I've been over $500 every month, except one time.
I was signed up for DD from the start but there was only one occasion when they paid me by DD when they said it was Belgium based or something. I have always received my payments in checks in US$ which takes more than a week in the snail mail. Their recent payment has not reached me.

I am a shopper in Canada and the checks are in US$ so I understand. Yes, I have earned less than $500 from Bare.
Thank you very much.
Good to know that we can only gets cheques as Canadians, just sadly it's a bit of a pain in the butt. I'd prefer paypal then :/
It is. Had they not emailed me on March 12th that a check was coming in the mail, I would not have even realized that the payment for February has not arrived in the mail yet. Paypal definitely is preferable if they cannot process DD. But they have their reasons.
Kind f wish I hadn't dropped Scotia in December, though I couldn't deal with them anymore. For everything, Tangerine has been preferable, but their inability to process foreign cheques easily is a bit of a pita. So far this is the only company I've worked for that is sending a US cheque, so I hadn't thought anything of it till now.
