Intelli Shop - Senior Living facility

I did a shop for Intelli at (facility's name) Assisted Living. I got a score of 6 on it. I was in the middle of having some family issues going on at that time. The shop was done on 3/6. Three days ago I got a call from someone at the company who needed more details . We spoke twice. This morning, he sent me a email saying that the customer does not think that I was really there because I cannot recall things such as the color of the rug or whether the dining room had round or square tables. He wanted me to call him again today. I was in court all day today. I sent him a email telling him that. Well, I just got a email stating that due to the customer not believing that I really went there I am not getting paid.
I am really upset. I asked this guy where I would have gotten the business card as well as ll of the other brochures I had scanned in.
Do I have any recourse or do I just have to take it?

You can argue, but you may just have to take it. Payment after completing a shop and reporting is contingent on having your report accepted by the client. If the client refuses to accept the report, the client will not pay the MSC for the report. If the MSC does not get paid, the IC does not get paid.

There is really no recourse to speak of. We are independent contractors and the MSCs are our customers. If our customers are not pleased with our work, we don't get paid. If the end user (the client) doesn't accept the report and pay for it, nobody gets paid: not the IC, the editor, or the scheduler. I'm guessing they will send another mystery shopper to re-shop the location.

You should edit your post and remove the client's name. Naming the client of Intelli is a violation of the ICA you signed with them and of our forum's rules.
Honestly, I've never been asked to supply the color of a rug or the shape of the tables.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

What about the dust thickness on the bottom right leg of the table?

Intellishop? There are a ton of threads about them. I think most of us work with them regularly.

I have done those shops. they want a lot of narrative. I gave them lots of narrative, commented on the paintings on the wall and the smell of baking bread in the air, mentioned the little showcases outside each room where residents could put personal mementos and pictures (to help the memory-impaired locate their own rooms). I got a 10 on both shops. It could be your comments were a bit too perfunctory to give a "feel" for the place. But I never mentioned and certainly would never have recalled the color of the carpet or the shape of tables by the time I reached my car let alone days later.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
