Trendsource

Trend source doesn't seem to give the exact ball amount in the mystery shops. They seem to give a range of payment and only a zip code unlike other companies that give the exact amount and address of the shop that is under consideration. On top of that one has to request those shops. But they pay twice a month although I haven't shopped with them yet.

I don't know where you are looking on their site. The jobs I see listed have the address, the amount they want to pay and a provision to request additional money.

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
If you click on the specific assignment, it gives an exact value. In the emails - for some reason - they provide a range of say $17 to $21. Since they are using an automated email program, I don't know why they can't drag in the exact value, but I assume that it will be at the low end. If it looks plausible for me to consider it, then I go to the website and click on the exact assignment.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
For whatever reason I just see a range even when I click on a specific assignment. Have no idea why that is. BTW I've never shopped them.
I've never seen a range that I can remember and I've done a bit of work for them.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
I work for them a lot and their emails have a range. However if you go to the website and click on the apply link it has the exact rate.
If you're seeing a range instead of the exact figure, it means you're not activated as a Field Agent yet. Once you're scheduled for your first shop that information will become available to you.

They allow you to self-assign after you meet certain criteria.
The range is when you are doing an inspection. Some take longer and have more questions.
I had this question about 6 weeks ago. See [www.mysteryshopforum.com] .

Turns out that until you have your first job, you are not fully in their system. After I was assigned my first job, all fees were exact.
I really enjoy and appreciate Trendsource/MSI. I have worked for them for over four years and do very well.
The range you see are not for mystery shops at all. There is a separate assignment class of Certified Onsite Inspectors that offer that format. It is not a shop. The shops offered and assigned by Trendsource are clearly marked for rate.
SR802,

The OP was correct in their observation. I see the same thing, only a range. No indication of reimbursement and/or fee. I followed the advice here and tried to request my first shop with them. The pop up for the Sandwich Shop still only shows a range of 4 - 10. I did not finalize the request.

My posts are solely based on my opinions and for my entertainment, contact a professional if you need real advice.

You're not active in their system until you've actually been assigned your first shop.
I find their fees incredibly low for the amount of work required. How are they about increasing the fee amounts; I would not mind doing the grocery shops, but not for $5/hour.

Fees do start low at the beginning of the month, but as deadlines get nearer, the schedulers offer bonuses. One time, I picked up several shops that had $28 bonuses each! I was able to schedule 3 of them in one day....that's well worth it.
