Goodwin and Five Diamond

Are they the same company?
I have documents from 5D that have a Goodwin email address on them.

I don't think there's any legal connection between the companies. Goodwin is a VERY large organization and mystery shopping is a small part of it. They also concentrate mainly on restaurants for their own shopping program so it's possible they farm out hotel work to companies like Five Diamond.

It would not be the only case of a large company sub-contracting hotel shops to a much smaller MSC specializing in hotels.
Like Steve, I know of at least one other very large company that farms out the management of its hotel shops. And many MSCs that, for instance, ship apartments, farm out the video apartment shops to other MSCs. In such cases, whether hotels or other industries, the shopper may get guidelines from and file the report on the web site of a different MSC than the one that recruited the shopper. (And I am not referring to scheduling companies in these cases, just to be clear.)

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Well that makes sense. Thanks for clarifying.

In one envelope, I received payment checks from both Sentry and Five Diamond. I thought that was a little weird.

The most likely explanation for this is that both Sentry and Five Diamond pay shoppers using their bank's online bill pay. If each bank's online bill pay is processed via Fi-Serv, then it is possible for payments from different companies to arrive in the same envelope.

If I can provide any other information, please feel free to reach out to me directly at dave@sentrymarketing.com.

Happy 4th of July! Be safe.

Thanks, Dave. The checks did look the same. What a coincidence that two companies would be paying the same shopper on the same day.
Of course, the main difference between a Sentry and Five Diamonds is only that Five Diamonds pays within a week or two while Sentry pays within.... a month or two or three
Even if they don't have shops in your area, 5D has some very good bar integrity training available.

I learned a new theft method I never looked for before. It's so obvious, yet the instructions from every other bar audit I have done did not cover this splitting technique. I knew to watch for duplicate receipts, but splitting is a new observation I just learned.

It's a shame I can't take the only offer they emailed me due to scheduling conflicts. I will take a job with them next chance I get. They seem to be very detail orientated and have some vocabulary that is unique to them. They don't want you to even put in the report your gender. Your simply the "The observer" and gender neutral to help keep your cover for future visits.

They look like a top notch company with high end clients.
