Hi, I'm new to this forum, but not new to mystery shopping. I have done many shops for MF. I receive e-mails for theater projects, however I can't seem to find any information about how much they pay for their projects to even know if it's worth applying. I'm interested in doing standee installs, etc. Am I overlooking something?

You have to register separately from the MF shopping site. Go to: [www.certifiedfieldassociate.com]
Once you're in you can look at the assignments and see what they pay, where they're located, etc.

I'm already registered and can search for assignments. I see information about the difficulty of the assignment, but no payment into for installs.

Assuming that you do an assignment search and then click on "view details" for more information about an assignment, on the next page you would see the sites for the assignment. On that page there's a column for the pay rate. If you only look at that, it's NOT the whole story. You then must click on the link under the task description column and look at the page that opens up in a new window. In addition to the details about the assignment and how long it might take, there's more information about the pay. That's what I see, in any case. Hope it helps. Good luck!

Definitely contact them. Also, check to be sure your browser is compatible with the website.

I'm using Chrome and it's compatible with the mystery shopping site. I'll add that to my list of questions.

FYI: Never did any standee installs myself, but have read over the years that some can take hours to do and can be rather complex. You may want to post another thread asking for newbie install advice, otherwise, stick with any of the other cinema shops that are available for now.

YES YES YES . So much this (what Arch Stanton said). I just did 2 back to back (same movie, rated as a "moderate" difficulty; they say an "experienced installer can do it in 2h), and I have cuts on my hands, and very sore fingertips and muscles. I did one in about 5h15, the next in about 4h30. I chalked it up to the learning curve. Both were bonused, the 2nd one more so because I was a bit wiser by then :-p. Report is nice and simple, but boy do you put the time in during the install!

And make sure you have tools: I now have a razor and right-angle ruler for hand-scoring the creases, which not only gives an even bend, it makes the bending easier!

I have a web page with maybe 100 installs plus photos from the past 8 years but mainly the past 2 years. You can write me and I'll send the link. I take photos of standees as I build them. I've helped several people out while they were on site.

And isn't here a non msc that mainly does installs of standees???

I haven't gone that far (I find the folds usually easy to crease), but I do have a multi-tool with screwdrivers, knife, etc and a stubby screwdrivers with a bunch of bits, too. All that goes in a fanny pack with all the extra hardware that I save up.

Funny that the Suffragette install was missing hardware (dealt with easily), but all three panels were missing top and bottom supports. Can't quite just cobble supports together!

Oh, cardboard cuts do suck. I got a bunch from this last big install.

I should have not been lazy and made a thread elsewhere for those kinds of ideas by now...sigh.
