Strategic Reflections: Shop Timeframe, details

I'm not new to mystery shopping but I am new to SR. I have not seen any type of contact form for help. Are their due dates actual due dates - the shop can be completed any time as long as it is done before/on that date? I am so used to Market Force being pretty detailed that this threw me for a loop, lol.

I picked up an easy shop that has to be completed by Sunday. They are closed on Sunday, though, so it will have to before then. It doesn't list any hours I'm supposed to go, so I assume anytime during operating hours. However, I'm considering picking up a fast food photo audit but the description and instructions say nothing about what hours of the day this has to be done in - which is pretty crucial info for me because of work etc. Any advice?

If the photo audit is a drive-thru then it can be done at any time of day unless it specifies a meal. Sometimes the breakfast menu is only up in the morning, but some restaurants have the whole menu up all the time.

I have never done their photo photo audits, Kana16, so I cannot comment on those. BUT I have been mystery shopping for Strategic Reflections for several years for one of my favorite fast food restaurants. They are a GREAT company. Since you are new to working with them, I just wanted to add my 2 cents worth. I have never had any issues with them, they have always treated me fairly, never a question about my reports, and pay has always been when promised.

I did a shop for them today, and have done others in the past, including a revealed mystery shop with photos that they do not appear to do any longer, but never an audit. The requested and assigned date is usually the last date for completing and submitting the shop. I have never had a payment issue.

They oversee a restaurant I absolutely love. Their report on it is extremely easy. Some of what makes me like an MSC is where I get to do my shop. The negatives are if you are negotiating as well as timeliness of payment. Still, thumbs up.
Unless they changed, they pay slow and deactivated me because I do not do breakfast shops and refused one time when they called me to do a immediate low pay shop miles from me. I am sorry, but they have little respect for us.
I've worked with them in the past and haven't had any issues. They do pay by check. Good luck trying to get any real bonuses out of them.
They call me all the time, I counter offer then turn them down because they never meet my fee. It hasn't gotten me deactivated nor would I expect to be deactivated. Picking and choosing shops is tantamount to being an IC so most MSCs are too careful about crossing that line.

I am new to that company and I wondered the same thing. For 2 of the 4 shops I did for them the guidelines indicated the time frame I was to shop. The other 2 did not and I went by the due date/time on their website.

It's not unusual to have flexibility for a shop with any company. Read the guidelines and check the information on the website to see what is required. If you still have questions, call. This MSC is another company where you can actually call them and get a live person during business hours. I'm new to them, have done just a couple of shops, but I've called them a few times to ask about things. My advice: pick up the phone! They will answer the phone and your question. :}
I've become a little disenchanted. We had a little discrepancy and they are honoring what I was told, but I didn't like the way they made me feel while dealing with the situation. I'm not sure I'll do any more shops for them now.
It was about a reimbursement amount. I was told the same thing in multiple phone conversations with multiple people and then the payment didn't come in the amount it should have been.
Thanks for the responses, everyone. Now just awaiting pay date for the first shop I picked up. smiling smiley

I tried to pick up a fast food photo audit but got errors:

You cannot apply for this shop due to one of the following reasons:

1) You have recently completed a shop for this particular location.
2) You are currently scheduled the maximum number of shops for this client.
3) You are currently scheduled the maximum number of shops overall at one time.

I'm not sure why I received these, though. I have only done one shop for them (talked about previously) and it was completely unrelated to these shops/locations. What is the maximum number of shops that can be scheduled?
I don't know, I had a dozen of them last week, but that was the result of a phone call from the scheduler. Maybe it was a glitch?

This is unusual for Strategic Reflections. I have been working with them for 5 years, always paid and they are great communicators. I can call and get someone (most times) or leave a message and the call is returned in 15 minutes. They do bonus shops but you won't get high bonuses. They cap most at $15 for bonuses. They send you an email that your check is coming. I have high praise for Strategic Reflections smiling smiley
Anyone know if a certain casino shop for them located in southeast Indiana is no longer shopped?
Does anyone know when they pay? I can't find anything in the shopper portal about payment dates or method.

Shopping Boston and North Shore MA
From one of my invoices:
NOTE: Checks begin processing approximately the
27th-30th of each month for shops completed the
PREVIOUS month and are mailed after processing is
complete.***
(Example: Checks for all shops completed in February
will begin processing around March 27th-30th, after the
client has approved all shops for the prior month.)
You will receive an email when the checks have been
mailed, so you will know it is on its way.

Also, I have had them call me to ask me to do shops, and there are times I could not do them but I was not deactivated. But by the same token, I help them a lot with out-of-the-way shops nobody wants smiling smiley

It was the first time they had called me about an out-of the-way shop. They wanted it done immediately, as I recall it was 75 miles round trip, and it was not bonused well. I declined and was deactivated. I called and asked why. They said they had other negative things about me. I asked what. They said I do not do breakfast shops (which I don't, unless am made an offer I can't refuse). I asked if there was anything I could do to fix it and they said NO. So that was that. I did mostly grocery shops for them, did one once when I had the flu and 105 degree temperature as the shop was out of town and I didn't want to stick them with a cancellation, but that was not appreciated. I wrote them letter and it was never answered. PLUS, at the time, I was waiting a good 60 days for any payment. They seemed very rude and uncaring, to me.
I am considering a shop that is an hour drive because they are desperate and said "name your price". I said I would do it for $100 and then came back asking if I would do it for $80. Can I trust that they will actually pay me this much? It is normally like a $10 shop.
I advise getting it in writing first. Insist that they update your information in the assignment shop to that fee and send you an email verifying it.

I just told them this week that i don't do breakfast shops. I find it hard to believe I'd be deactivated for it but if they do, it still beats doing breakfast shops.
