You want that for a narrative??

Instructions for a summary narrative of the experience are - two to three concise sentences that has a minimum of 500 characters. Can you say run on sentence??

Ok. Vent over. Back to crafting an appropriate run on after the first attempt was too short.

Agreed. Adhering to the guidelines would probably result in a low score. Maybe editorial did not get a chance to weigh in.

Isn't 500 characters quite doable? I mean it's not 500 words. A character is a letter & space.

The amount of characters is very doable. However, doing that in two to three concise sentences with proper grammar is quite difficult. The instructions are contradicting themselves so that following them exactly will generate poor narratives.

Hmm. Sounds like a narrative on some of my shops this week. I thought 2-3 sentences and 500 characters was odd. I think they have been closer to 2 paragraphs for me. My problem today was shortening the narrative to under 750 characters - I needed to say a lot about my associate.

I too laughed when I got to the bottom of the form and saw this:

I did not use run on sentences and wrote 5-6 sentences for all of those shops. I don't think they were counting spaces. The editor took them as 8-9 on the Sassie scale for the little route I did. This company is really picky about getting GeoVerify or they want an actual date and time stamp embedded in the front of location picture itself. They don't understand what the meta data time stamp of a photo is.

I did six or seven of these, and just worried about the character count, not the number of sentences. It probably came to six or seven sentences in the narrative. I got 9's on all of them.

I think this company is very stingy with 10's. I thought I gave them 10 work for the pay. Oh well. Getting an 8-9 pays the same as a 10. This was my first go around with them.

No complaints here with the 9's! I was actually super happy to do a route of these. I was knocking them out left and right until I ran into one store with a guy that talked my ears off. He talked and talked and talked for almost an hour... I thought he was going to blow my schedule for the whole day. Finally he let me go and I was back at it. With that one exception, the money was great for the time spent. I'll totally do more of these shops, but it will have to be in another city.
