SQM airline shops

Looks like SQM has airline shops for a particular favorite airline here in the States....has anyone done one of these shops yet? Considering they would pay half the airfare, it might be worth checking out and if I can pair this up with some other shops in a different area of the country, that would be an interesting adventure.

My understanding is they'll pay half the airfare if you book following directions. I checked a couple fares. I can get more than 50% off, using alternatives to using the airline's site. No incentive there for me. YMMV.
What are some alternatives to SQM that offer greater than a 50% discount?

Shopping Santa Barbara and Goleta, CA.
We are shooting for a possible Companion Pass this upcoming year... I suppose we would not be able to use the Companion Pass with this program? Hm. I wonder.

You can't do the shop with companion pass, or earn any rewards. The tickets are purchased by SQM.

I have not done one yet since I have the companion pass. It ends in December so may try for one of these shops in January. Problem for me is most flights involve change of plane which requires 2 reports. So may not be worth it.

I had four reports for roundtrip of 2400 miles, with a savings of about $250.

I just did my first one, so it took a bit longer, I think, but...maybe an hour? You can do a lot of the pre-work while you are flying. It was long, but no worse than some of the word-for-word restaurant shops I've done for $35. For my purposes, it's totally worth it to get the airfare discount.
My first flight was four hours and I was able to start the report on my iPad, with some covering up. It is detailed and you have to pay attention to all the announcements pre-boarding and on flight. The report is similar to FD. I did my report in bits and pieces, so cannot give a time, but definitely over one hour. With connecting flights, I had four reports.

@LateRain. I'm curious, did you give you pre-screen status also?

$300 r/t flight that connects. That's 4 reports for $150. Except.... I couldn't get the $300+$100 compensation they were offering for overbooking, I didn't get the flight credits, I didn't get the triple points (or even single ones) on my airline cc, and I didn't get the thousand miles. The rewards points are booked under the scheduler's name so you can't make any changes to the flight -- I'm assuming that's why we can't turn them in afterwards -- they've already been claimed. Since the points would have been half a one way ticket for the same flight, I basically got a quarter of a ticket for 4 reports and a lot of hassle. The scheduler probably made out pretty nicely, though. Not doing this again unless it's a non-stop and a lot more money saved.

Now scheduling travel shops for the day after Christmas through mid-January.

My flight was almost $500, so it was 4 reports for $250 for me. There are no reward points, but I'm not on that reward program. I would do it again, especially with non-connecting flights.

Thanks for the heads up....I was thinking of trying this one out in a couple of months to see how it works out.

I thought about doing one of these coming home from a cruise but realized I would be so tired there was no way I could concentrate enough to do it. Every flight was a two part so it would be two reports.
