Subway Shops

Hello, and Thank you for looking at my post.
My wife and I have been trying to find Subway Mystery Shops. We do other Fast Food locations, but we would rather choose a job that serves healthy food.

I know we can't reveal details about the companies we work for, but could someone let me know if there is a MS Company that looks after the bulk of the Subway stores throughout US?

If so, perhaps you can tell me more or less what to search for to find them?

Thank you very much.

In my area, the MSC that does Subway is definitely on the Official List of Mystery Shopping Companies at the bottom of the forum pages. If you apply to 5 new companies every day, you'll find them....
Have you tried Jersey Mike's? They are so much better than Subway, imho. Don't know if they're are located all over, but if you see one, take it. Their subs are so fresh and yummy.

Jersey Mike's is much better, and they are shopped.

Yes they are but not sure if its by location. In my location, I have only seen them with one msc... when you apply for your 5 a day, you will see which one in no time. Good luck.
Both Subways and Jersey Mike's are shopped but not in every market. It helps to have the opportunity to travel and check out other parts of the USA. Oh ya, and Canada.
There is a platform called iSecretShop. It is a Web site and an app for your iPhone. You should download that and see what the companies have in your area.

Edited to add: There are a bunch of companies who use this platform and you have to accept each ICA individually, but it's still a lot faster than registering with each one. I cannot endorse them all as I have not completed assignments for all of them, but there are a few companies that use the platform that have been a pleasure to work with.

I've seen Subway shops with two different companies....one does them in the Travel Centers, the other one does the free standing ones....

I have seen them before but I have not accepted one. However, I have not seen them in the last two months.. I wonder if they are not doing them any more or some one is getting them.

To each his own I guess. Subway is low down my list of places to eat and I consider them significantly better than Jersey Mikes. Plus if I'm not mistaken you have to order a cold sandwich (I don't eat cold sandwiches) and you have to have it with peppers and onions or some other horrifically gross items if they ask if you want it Mike's Way. Also, I find their employees to be annoyingly over the top bubbly.

Now if which wich were shopped..........

Given a choice between paying for a made-to-order sub at Subway or at Jersey Mike's, I would choose Jersey Mike's. However, the crème de la crème is IMHO either Casapullas or Caprioti's. Both originated in Wilmington, Delaware and have begun to spread out to varying extents. Caprioti's has gotten as far west as California, south to Florida, and "north" to Wisconsin for a total of 106 locations so far. It is shopped. Casapullas has remained family owned and has chosen to treat only Delawareans to its subs. It is also shopped.

@ bgriffin, you are such a fussy budget when it comes to your food. But I am the same way. I have been called the Meg Ryan of food ordering.
Thank you for all your responses. We live in South Texas, and I've never seen/heard of Jersey Mike's although I'm sure it would be great. My wife is really into healthy eating, and here we have Subways, Jason's Deli, Siempre Natural etc. All of which we can never find any Shops for.
We'll take the advice you gave us and keep looking. Have a great day! smiling smiley

There are literally hundreds of Subway shops in my area. They're reward shops and the pay is squat. But I did one when the fee went to $6 just to try it. I'm waiting for the fee to go higher before I take any more. I like Subway okay. I'd do the Jersey Mike shops too, but I also hate cold sandwiches and you're forced to order a cold sub. After reading this thread, I feel better knowing that other people have the same mindset as me.
Subway is shopped by several different msc. I haven't done one since they made me try that disgusting limited-time only sub with the Fritos in it. I wish there were more Quiznos or Blimpies in my area, and that they were shopped. They are so much better than Subway, in my humble opinion.

Lol you're right, to each their own.

Which Wich is a step below Jersey Mike's, but a step above Subway. I personally like the vinegar and oil added to the sandwich.

Glad to see that someone caught the reference. I have been known to reenact that scene in restaurants just for @#$%& and giggles. Of course, I do not do that during a shop. It would make me too memorable!
The MSC I did the Subway shop for gave me a few choices in subs...and would be happy to do more of these since they were easy and there are many Subways around.

Far as other sub shops, we do have Jersey Mikes in the area (I know of an MSC that does this one), Jimmy Johns, Firehouse Subs (I wish these were shopped as I like their subs too), and a place called Mr. Submarine. Quizno's are few and far between (we had several but they closed up shop in the Chicago area).

Subway is shopped at the east half of my state, but not at the west half. I wonder if it is because of a franchise.

Per the guidelines I had to try the sub to comment on the taste. I literally ate one bite and threw it out. It was disgusting.
There's always Penn Station. I like them because they have vegetarian options. Also the shop is easy.
Yes, I forgot about Penn Station. The report is easy, I just wish it paid more than $5 + $10 reimbursement.

Decisions about feedback (i.e. mystery shopping) are sometimes made piecemeal instead of having every location mystery shopped. Sometimes areas or regions of the company are performing at different levels so they want more or less feedback. Perhaps there are performance reasons involved. Perhaps one corporation does own one half of your state and wants mystery shopping while management for the other half decides differently. Sometimes the budget is limited so they spread it out geographically doing some places at one time and other places another time. The point is that not every corporation uses mystery shopping in the same way for all of the stores.

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut
