Customer Impact -- shops using your cell phone?

Has anyone tried doing the Customer Impact shops using an app you download from them?

I see they have one in my area this coming weekend and I was thinking of taking it....any opinion either way?

TIA!

I did one on Saturday and (assuming my results were accepted) it was a breeze. I'd definitely do it again.

I did one on their "maiden run" last year. I did not like that the report could not be viewed beforehand. And I could not delete a photo (took wrong one in error), or redo a blurry photo. I hope the product has changed, as I'd like to try a new assignment. Other than sketchy instructions and the photo thing, it could be a good thing.
Kind of interesting you become a part of another community on that app....

I did take and got accepted for a shop this weekend at an outdoors store....so we'll see how it goes

It's easy. I don't understand why they are being done every week. It seems like a LOT of wasted money spent by someone.
Hello to everyone posting on here. My name is Daniel Price and I am the Project Manager for these programs that are completed with the smartphone Apps. We are expanding this market and hoping to bring more and more projects through a variety of outlets that go beyond the traditional mystery shop.

We are now running 7 different projects around the country on these Apps, so they do differ a bit from project to project depending on client specifications, but they often follow a pretty familiar style.

Also, as those who have done these shops can tell, a lot of the questions are centered around promotions, sales, customer traffic, etc. These style of shops are geared more towards clients who are looking for marketing data, sales trends, etc., which is why you see some projects go every single weekend at the same stores, etc.

I think my favorite part about these is they require no evaluation that you have to go home and write up after the shop is over. Just a simple "I completed the project" pay form on your shop log and that's it.

If anyone ever has any questions about a project they see on the job board, feel free to email me or PM me on this site. I can even set you up with access to the App and a "test team" that mirrors the project you were wanting to get more information on and I can let you sort of walk through it on your phone before agreeing to do a specific shop or anything. That way you can see if the smartphone shops might be the type of shop for you or not.

I hope that gives a bit of an explanation to this new style of shops that Customer Impact is offering in addition to all of our great traditional mystery shops that we offer.

I was able to view all of the instructions on the app beforehand, and reject a photo to replace with another one, so it sounds like they did indeed work out those bugs in the app.

Hello There to everyone on the forum,
My name is Moira DelNero and I completed the smartphone app audits. They were great!! I say bring more on managers and schedulers to us in the Fort Myers, Bonita Springs and Naples, Florida area!

Thank You!
I did two of these and would absolutely do them again. The pay isn't great, but not terrible for the amount of work, especially if the shop is somewhere you might go anyway. I had an issue with one of the two I completed (don't turn off the app until you're sure that all of the items have submitted... there's a little cloud icon with numbers in it, make sure there are no numbers in your cloud before you turn the app off), and Daniel, who posted above, contacted me and was super helpful. I'd recommend these shops.

The report was non-existent as Daniel describes above, and the pay was quick. The cons were that the shop was kinda boring, so I wouldn't want to do them over and over again every weekend. But once in awhile, I'll do them. Good luck!

Shopper in California's Bay Area
I have completed 5 of these types of shops in Birmingham, AL, and would do tons more if available. Also, Daniel is awesome.
