Consumer Insight Payment

Has everyone/anyone received their September 24th payment this month? My past payments have come earlier than the 24th and today is the 25th and I haven't yet received it.

I really couldn't find an email to contact regarding this except an admin. If anyone knows exactly who to contact, please let me know. And yes, I did a google search and a search on their website and could not find an email or phone number for the accounting department.

Thanks for any help.

I received payment for 6 out of 8 shops on September 23rd. The remaining two were edited after the cutoff date so I am sure they will be paid on the next round.

Have you worked for them before? Did you check to make sure that your PayPal address is correct?
I also have shops that should have been paid on 9/24 and I've heard nothing. Since they require that your PayPal account match your e-mail address, and I have received numerous e-mails from them, I'm pretty sure they have my correct PayPal address.

My Shop Log has not been updated either, so I am assuming payment is not pending.
I haven't been paid either. There is no payment notation in my shop Log. I have worked for them before and been paid according to their payment terms, but this time they are late. Payment was due Thursday, 9/24. Since it is now Friday night, I guess payment cannot be made before Monday the 28th. The last of my shops was edited on the 14th. Since the 17th is their cutoff date, all my shops should have made the cutoff date and I expected payment.

I guess this MSC likes me and Darlmam better than the rest of you guys. tongue sticking out smiley

My six shops had "payment pending" or "pending payment" on my shop log when I received the PayPal notification on the 23rd. Once I transferred my funds over to my checking account and hit refresh, my shop log then said PAID. The remaining two shops have no payment notes but I believe they were edited after the cutoff date.
I forget which MSC but I think I remember reading somewhere on the forum about a week or two ago about another company with some late PayPal payments. It was determined that the "late" payments affected shoppers with smaller, local banks and credit unions. The big national chain of banks were paid promptly. As I am writing this, I think it might have been the Mystery Researchers/Beyond Hello thread but I am not 100% sure. I do not have time to do the research right now.
I think, Sybil, that you're thinking of this thread about Market Force:

CaliGirl925, thanks for doing the research. You are correct. That was affecting DD payments, not PayPal.
I received my payment. Were your shops approved before the cut off date? Not just submitted.
I don't know if they are always this fast, but they were editing reports within minutes of submission most of the early part of the month. The last of my shops were submitted on the 14th and edited within minutes, given a grade, and I received an e-mail for each one from the editor with feedback. I assumed, since the shops were all edited before the 17th, the cutoff date for payment on the 24th, that all my shops would be paid on the 24th. This is an unpleasant surprise.
Hmm not sure. I have few shops of theirs for next weekend on the 3rd so I'm almost certain they won't get paid out until the 24th even if I upload them while doing them. Have you tried emailing?
Yes I have been paid by them twice before. My paypal is correct with them. All of my shops were approved before the 18th of this month, and unless I'm incorrect, that is the cutoff for receiving payment by the 24th. None of my shops show payment pending or paid.

You are exactly right, cnortorious. A shop done and approved on October 3rd should be paid on October 24th. My shops were done September 1st-14th and the final one was approved on the 14th, meaning payment should have been September 24th.

Here's what their guidelines say:

Payments made on the 10th will include all shops completed from the 19th of the preceding month to the
3rd of the current month. Payments made on the 24th will include all shops completed from the 4th
to the 18th of the current month.

I don't have a contact number or e-mail for Accounting so I have e-mailed Frank Ivy, the scheduler. I'll report back what I hear.
I received notice and payment on September 23, for my shops done prior to Sept. 17. All my shops had not been reviewed by the 17th. That is not a determinant for payment date according to TCI payment terms, as quoted above.
I received an email from this MSC. It basically said that they had a "minor" system glitch and some payments were not processed. They apologized and said that I would be paid on the 9th of next month.

I feel frustrated because I actually really needed the money that I earned on the date it was supposed to be paid. It seems that any other time a company has not paid on time, they remedied the situation and paid me asap, not a couple of weeks later. I also find it frustrating that I am required to uphold my end of the agreement and complete my shops and reports on time, but some MSCs don't feel that it is important to honor their end and pay on time. I also find it so strange that so many MSCs seem to have glitches or bank problems so often. I bet their full-time employees are always paid on time.
Glad to hear that you received an e-mail about their glitch. I did not receive the e-mail and I have not had a response to the e-mail I sent to the scheduler regarding payment. The idea that their "glitch" might have resulted in many shoppers not being paid, and they don't intend to correct their glitch; rather, they just plan to pay those shoppers at the next regularly-scheduled pay period is appalling. Even more appalling is that not all shoppers were notified.

I'm frustrated because this is the first time I've worked for this company ..... and late payment (with no notice!) the first time you work for a company is not good.

The payment I did not receive is rather large. I have several shops scheduled for them within the next week that I'm not sure I am willing to do until I get paid for the first batch. Maybe I will contact the scheduler about rescheduling the shops after the 9th.
I gather that this was a big, new project, so it is not terribly surprising if their manpower got overwhelmed. Certainly not something you want to see happen, but at least vaguely understandable. I would give them a couple of months to 'shake out' the systems.

In the same vein, when the USPS shops come out I expect there will be some glitches and I would encourage those who need to have their reimbursements done quickly to not overextend themselves. It is Murphy's Law that if you perform a handful of the big box shops with their heavy postage outlay, there will be a glitch in getting payment out to you, so use common sense. Because of the MSP's stature and longevity I'm sure you will get paid but in the first rounds while they 'shake out' the systems to handle that much work it may be slow.
They just sent out a huge second round of the shops for this same large client. I'm holding off. It looks to me like they have a cash flow problem. I'll think about taking more of their shops after I got paid for the ones I already did.
I also have many jobs scheduled with them this week. I am feeling a bit wary about completing them during a payment glitch.

My personal opinion is that an MSC with a payment issue should immediately notify all those owed payment and rectify the situation without delay. Leaving the contracted individuals in the dark is not good business. Neither is delaying payment.
Absolutely agree. I understand what Flash is saying, but at the same time, knowing you have a payment glitch and not notifying your shoppers is unprofessional and worrisome. And not making an effort to correct the payment situation immediately raises questions about WHY would you deliberately plan to just wait until the next scheduled payment period? That makes me believe that Jay C is right, that this is a cash flow problem. Of the shoppers I have spoken with, those who did one or two shops got paid. Those who did a large number of shops did not.

Maybe I'm wrong. But I'm very wary.
So after emailing a Senior Project Admin, I was told that I may be paid as early as October 2 or as late as October 6. It was not made clear whether it was just my payment or all payments. I am considering rescheduling my shops until I have been paid. If they are having a cash flow problem, the last thing I want is for them to owe me more.
I got paid several days ago, thank goodness!

They must be doing these in waves across the USA. There are none in a 99-mile radius; only seven in the entire state.

I performed 8 shops which was the maximum for this round in my area. I got paid for sixl the remaining two were edited after the cutoff date. Did some of you not have the 8 shop limitation?
I did 6 shops this month and was paid a few days ago for 5 of them. I was impressed with their fast payment and never would have thought there was an issue. It's the first time I've worked with this company. I have no complaints. Any company that pays the same month shops were completed is A+ in my book.

Although I did not receive the e-mail lulu got, I did finally get a reply from the scheduler. Based on the scheduler's reassurances, I feel better and I think Flash's post is on target. I did a large number of shops for them that are so far unpaid but I think they will be paid within the next week. If I am wrong and I don't receive payment quickly, I'll post and give the alarm.
I was paid on time by them- got the e-mail on the 23rd and the payment on the 24th. I only had one shop for them this pay period, though.

Happily shopping the Pacific Northwest. Shopping since 2013 smiling smiley

UPDATE - all is good. As of today, I am paid in full, just as the scheduler promised.
