Surprisedd by Market Force

None of us are all work and no play, and I admit in the past I used to do various projects for Market Force. Them and I had a falling out several years ago. Recently I was surprised by their boldness.

Now I popped over to the US to order a video game via Gamestop. Now I am used to the post-purchase surveys, what surprised me was the fact that Market Force was trying to recruit Mystery Shoppers via this kind of survey. I mean isn't mystery shopping is a cloak kind of job, one where it isn't always advertised openly unless a company is desperate for people to complete assignments. What is Market Force doing advertising for new recruits via in store purchases? Or has Market Force gotten so desperate they will take anyone who can buy a video game?

Then again I am used to how companies work in Canada, and what they do is the norm in the US.

You can find the MSCs for many clients with a simple Google search. Those that want complete anonymity do very little posting publicly. Some of the MSCs primary websites openly advertise many of their clients, they openly recruit on job boards. Most hide everything, that's why so many shoppers join MSC after MSC hunting for clients.

Job listing sites; [www.msjobboard.com] - Shopmetrics; [www.mystshopsol.com]; [www.jobslinger.com] - Sassie; [www.volition.com] - Various links; [www.mspa-na.org] -MSPA Members; link at bottom of forum page to their extensive list of companies
I think it's very smart of them to actively recruit. They have one of the worlds largest clients. Can you imagine trying to get all those shops done?

I enjoy awkward questions and uncomfortable silences. This gas station pavement is $%^@*#& hot.
How many shop emails do you look at and say - find another sucker please? Like a $2 fee and the reimbursement is a joke too. Or no shopper fee and tiny, microscopic reimbursement. Yup, have to pass on that one too!
I admit I am ignorant on who Market Force MS for these days, but the fact is they wanted me to do reports in French. Well I am sorry I am an Anlgophone in Quebec, and I won't take the time to do a report in English, then translate into French, then pray I don't get questioned on that report. Since any English report of mine I'd understand, a French one, good luck.
I did a customer survey on a [client name deleted] receipt and at the end it asked if I would be interested in becoming a mystery shopper.
Market Force recently sent out an email saying they were partnering with Service Measure for Solar energy quotes. I reply and Service Measure assigned me the job, has anyone heard of Service Measure or done any work for them. It seems like the job is paying a lot and I am worried about whether or not this is legit. Thanks in advance for any help!

Yeah, any job that involves allowing a company to come to your home and climb a ladder and walk around your roof measuring it should pay well. Your risking a cracked tile and a water leak at the very least. In a worst case scenario, if they figured out you were the shopper and they were late for the appointment and were rude and you gave them a bad report, they do know where you live. You also have to block off the whole day. It's like waiting on the cable company.
^^^ I would have to pass on that. I made the mistake of letting someone come by to give me an estimate for windows last year. Several hours their arrival, I had to pack up their things for them to get them to leave. Ain't nobody got time for that.
