Market Force Gas Audits

I've only ever done the mystery gas shops for MF (though I've done gas station audits for other MSCs). But I noticed this month that the Mystery Shops were replaced with revealed audits at the same locations. They were originally posted at the same price as the Mystery Shops. I passed because it seemed like more work for the same price (plus revealing myself at a place I'd like to Mystery Shop again). But now the audit fees have started to creep up in my area and I'm wondering at what price they'd be worthwhile. Can anyone give me some information about these?

-Does doing a revealed audit disqualify you from doing the Mystery Shop again in the future at the same location?
-The pre-qualifying "quiz" talks about how the audit could take up to an hour. Really? The fee doesn't seem commensurate with such a long time on site. I've done other gas audits and never spent an hour at the location.
-Approximately how many photos do you need to take?
-How's the report? I feel like with MF it can't be too involved, but I'd hate to vastly underestimate the amount of work required.

Thanks for any info you can provide!

They look insanely painful to do and I would skip it because you are revealing yourself at the location. Just recently for another MSC for which I've been declining reveals for the same reason the only way I was granted a job (which paid REALLY well) was because I didn't do the reveal for that same company previously.
How much work is it? can you describe what is required? The full guidelines aren't available until you accept the job.

OK what I have learned from the forum is that at least 8 piks are required.. That is 8 pics that you have to download and we all know how long it is to downoload those piks. I have also had 3 glasses of vino so I am not sure if I am answering correctly since I am not in my right mind. Wait until the fee goes up.
Yeah, I'm passing them up at this point. Too bad, I was just starting to get a good routine going on the gas station mystery shops.

If it was me I would wait until the fees go higher. Just a little hint from someone who has been doing this for a little while;
@teriraia, have you conducted this shop? I can't tell if you're just responding based on what you've read from the experience of others on this board, or if you've actually done this particular shop and know the specific answers to my questions above. At one point you talk about what the other forum members have said and at one point you talk about how you've been doing this for awhile. You also mentioned several glasses of wine, though, so.... winking smiley

I've done several, and if I do them again, I'll wait for the fee to go up a good bit.

I made my own checklist for the observations and the photos. Take some extra photos, especially of any issues you find.

The report takes quite a while, even with photos prepped beforehand, due to the upload time.
I took one to see what the report was like since I found the regular gas station mystery shops were so easy. It was bonused a small amount, but I won't take more until the fee is higher. 29 pages to print. I'll keep that copy and make a checklist cheat sheet for any others I do in the future.

I'm glad to see feedback from someone who has done the audits. The mystery shops are SO easy and I have stuck with those so far, thinking the audits sounded harder. Hearing your experience, I think I'll stick with the easy mystery shops.

29 pages?! Out here these audits are only $3 more than the regular shops. Doesn't seem worth it at all.
I've done several of these. I also like the regular gas shops. I waited until the audit was at $20 before I did my first one. It's a bit more work (my first one took me 45 min) but then I did a few more my time shortened and eventually took a route with 5 in one day. I began to learn what was on the sheet so I didn't have to flip through each page (but I would check it in my car before I left). I got my time down to 20-25 minutes for each. As someone else mentioned, I printed off the whole packet just once. I then printed off a different sheet that I could take notes on for each gas station. It's pretty simple and I only got held up by someone who was hesitant to sign the form once. I'd definitely wait for a bonus though. Taking them doesn't disqualify you from doing them in the future. I see two regular ones on the board now that I did audits for in September.
