Kern Scheduling Integrity Questioned

Kern corrected it and my shoplog indicates that I will get paid. So in my case the problem is resolved. Thank you for the email. That is the hardest part of all this, tracking down people who are in a position to correct things.

I certainly did not intend to post something I shouldn't.. I did not post this because of a mistake or I wasn't paid LOL I'm not one to violate the "ICA" . Hopefully its only an Infraction!

I don't do those type of Shops! I posted it because I can't believe those people talk down to the Shoppers with such hateful bitterness tones! Obviously it doesn't offend you. Why are so many of you so bitter? Too many people suffering from BFR here. Good Luck!

Okay then, does that mean if I wait until next period to shop I can submit without the photo? Just checking . . . please clarify.

You have a problem with these editing criteria? They seem very fair to me.... (More lenient than if I were deciding on new editing criteria!)

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
This editing criteria is not at all unique or bizarre. Shelly is just spelling it out a little more than most ..... and maybe that's not a bad thing. I'm in favor of very direct, very specific instructions. Many new shoppers simply don't understand that everything must be done correctly - some view "forgetting" a photo or turning in work late as a minor thing. We frequently have newbies post here to tell us they weren't paid, and they only made a "little mistake" (when they finally explain the mistake, it turns out it's a critical part of the shop.)

By the way, woodyca, posting this with the client name included is an ICA violation. Please edit your post and remove proprietary information.
I see no problem or offense in the way this information is laid out. I appreciate the expectations spelled out clearly. Shelly is a great scheduler!
I also had a shop scheduled by KSS disappear without any notice and am curious if this is common practice as it was a first for me.
Immediately after being assigned a shop I contacted the scheduler with a small clarification on the address. The address was correct but on another page of the guidelines it referenced a shopping center in another part of town that does not have the store being shopped at that locstion. The scheduler and I both felt 99% sure where we were in agreement on he location but that she would contact the MSC to doublecheck. Day before the shop I check my guidelines and all is good. I complete the lengthy shop with a good size reimbursement and go to submit my report and it's gone. After many emails to the MSC and the scheduler I was told the shop was removed by the scheduler because she never heard back from the MSC about the question.
While I understand the reasoning on her part, the timing and lack of notification about the cancellation was frustrating and stressful. Just as I have to inform them if I had to cancel a shop I would hope for the same from the them.
All my joking aside, I don't see anything wrong with laying out the criteria on report penalties. Nevertheless, a list like that might dissuade me from getting involved with a shop. I do fully understand they have to have some kind of system to grade reports consistently and while I don't agree the list is "talking down" I do find it to be a negative for me. I'd much rather for them to be absolutely clear on what they want than to waste my time telling me what's going to happen if they don't get what they want.

I would rather see an MSC post some guideline penalties instead of making life simple for themselves and having a blanket statement that states that if you fail in any way to 100% MEET EVERY SINGLE REQUIREMENT of the shop that you will not be paid.
I just want to jump on here and say as a newbie, I was THRILLED to see the editing criteria. I have done various forms of freelance writing over the years and so working with editors is nothing new to me. However, having direct instructions, especially when I am a newbie and trying to sort out the differences between the different MSCs and what they want, was AWESOME. Editors can be, or seem to be, quite capricious and random sometimes; it's nothing new if you've done any kind of writing. I've even had articles published in public in my own name where the editors just randomly changed wording to mean something I never meant to say. When there are criteria laid out like that, it gives you BOTH something to work from and you are on the same page.

I've worked several gigs already that were scheduled through Kern and had only one issue, which turned out to be my fault. I won't go into it here because I am trying to remain incognito for as long as I can. LOL. But they were nice about it and we resolved it.

I do wonder when people post stuff like this on this board under an alias. Now Kern is going to know what your alias is because you got so specific with your complaint. You don't mind? So then why use an alias?

AustinMon and SoCalMama, appreciate your remarks but it is definitely an integrity issue. If a company is not honest, it is lacking integrity. The shop was deleted from my job board while being within the time frame for reporting and doing. That is not honest.
And the companies that I piss off is none of your business.

wow, just wow....holier than thou, perchance? he who casts the first stone? let it go, pal, it's over, done with, stick a fork in it/you cuz you are truly beating on a dead horse and have become shrill and tiring.

as always, no offense...just sayin'
