NWLPC - I am cursed!

Hello everyone,

So recently I had an issue with a shop for NWLPC. I did the parking shop, paid with a credit card and the shop was rejected because the guidelines were supposed to say that I needed to pay with cash. They did not. I had to share the guidelines on this forum so that shoppers would believe me. Doug was claiming that I should have read the guidelines...

Anyway - the shops are still available on Isecretshop platform and now the guidelines mention clearly that the payment has to be made in cash. I signed up for two shops a week ago, once was scheduled today and the other next Monday. After all, why not successfully do the shop now that everything seems to be clear on the guidelines. But no....

Yesterday evening, the day before the first shop, I receive an email - both shops have been canceled. Of course, I reach out to Doug and I do not receive a message. I probably should not have even considered giving this company another try. It's sad!

It's hard to tell exactly what you are saying. Are you saying that the client cancelled the shops so they will not be done, or are you saying that only your shops were cancelled because NWLPC does not want you to work for them anymore? After all the posts you made about NWLPC, I am surprised you would accept more shops. I'm even more surprised that Doug would assign you more shops. Are you now blocked from NWLPC shops or was this cancellation something that happened with all the parking shops?

Only my shops were canceled. They're still on the job board on Isecretshop platform, and I'm unable to assign them. They were available to self-assign, the guidelines had been corrected, the fee is decent. The way I see it, why not take the shop? Mistakes happen, obviously the guidelines have been changed after the incident... It's a business, it's not a personal grudge I have against the company. If Doug didn't want me to do the shop, why were they available for self-assign? Since when do you decide to cancel a shop that have been approved the night before without any email or warning?

I've done several shops for them in the past. All of the shops I have done for them indicated I had to pay with cash. I'm not saying your guidelines did not say that, just saying that mine did. The last shop I did for them was around October.

Happy holidays! In this case we had to un-assign ALL shoppers from this project because there were some issues with the posts on our end. The only way to make the corrections was to un-assign all shops then re-post.
An email was supposedly sent to all shoppers that were unassigned.
As for the other issue, we have been doing parking shops for over 10 years and NEVER changed the guidelines for not paying with a debit/credit card. We always emphasize that you must pay with cash.

Mystery solved! According to Doug, everybody's parking shops were cancelled.

I have to say, it sure looks like Doug is a pretty good guy, charlhenri. After the big brouhaha on open forum where you called NWLPC and isecretshop unethical and said repeatedly you would never work for them again, AND you made a huge public ICA violation on the forum, you were not deactivated and apparently both isecretshop and NWLPC will still allow you to work for them. Kudos to Doug!

We can only judge the future by the past. Here's hoping this works out well for Doug.
