Trendsource - Please Don't Insult My Intelligence!

I saw that shop for $7. Not worth it. I have done other shops for them, such as the grocery shops. I don't do many of those because they don't pay enough. I'm now moving on to car shops that pay $50 or more.

TS is a bad one. If you want to get paid low, and have requests of lots of your time, then Trendsource is for you.
There is another company who is far worse. For the amount of time to audit a nasty gas station, in the scary part of town, take 30 pictures, format, upload, report, get paid $10 and $2 for gas - now that's insulting. But we all do what we can and until we learn and then you can do better.

I've done gas audits for two companies now and have yet to see that one!

I've done those shops. They pay $5 for gas, $2 for buying from the store and $9 for the fee. I don't do them anymore.
With Trend Source PAD is almost unheard of, but every time I do the grocery store less than 6 miles from home. Put in for 5 bucks and always get it because knowing that the alternative shopper is not their first choice helps me. Do not ask for PAD for grocery store that is less than 2 miles away.
There are shops you can do 100 miles away that you would not do if it was right next door if you are doing a route, asking for bonus money and feeling the desperation of the scheduler. You can always say "NO!". You are an independent BUSINESS person. You must make MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL. Hero citations and other awards that can not be converted to cash does not induce this shopper to perform. It does induce this shopper to ASK "How much does that add to the money you will pay me for performing?

You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want ..Zig Zigler

Asking for bonus money and feeling the desperation of the scheduler can prompt extra money. You can always say "NO!". You are an independent BUSINESS person. You must make MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL terms. Never take money out out your pocket to pay expenses a client should pay. Hero citations and other awards that can not be converted to cash does not induce this shopper to perform. It does induce this shopper to ASK "How much does that add to the money you will pay me for performing? Would you take the shop for the money you are offering me and why would you take the shop? I think that is s a fair question. I have suggested the scheduler become a shopper and grab the opportunity themselves if they think is it great pay.

i always appreciate & always welcome snarky comments
Been lucky w/them. got some nice bonuses this mon for jobs I really, really didn't want to do (i hate a certain pizza shop and it's just over a half mile away)...
PAD is their terminology for a bonus. It is an acronym for Pay and Distance. It is requested at the pont where you request an assignment.

What exactly is a PAD and how and when do you request it????????

I love my schedulers for Trend source but the ones they offer me are usually so low, I rarely take them unless they offer a reasonable bonus or a decent gas PAD

Shopping til' I drop, no joke here!
my issues with them have to do with their penalties...but I can usually get out of them
Actually, my Trendsource emails tend to call it "Pre Authorized Distance" pay. I always use it for a bonus pay request, & rarely get approved. I have had one scheduler email me to let me know there were no PAD approvals for their printer audits. On another ocassion, a scheduler who called to try and get me to pick up a grocery shop, let me know that my request probably wouldn't be approved unless I was a "good distance" away from the shop location.

Once in awhile (rarely) they call and offer me PAD. Not much, but enough to make it worthwhile. I can't recall ever getting a "name your price" PAD request getting approved. I was called for the current kids cards shop and told I told them that the $8 did not even cover the mileage cost for getting there and that all online reports indicated that it took much longer than the reported "average" of 30 minutes. Besides, 30 minutes each way, 30 minutes on site, 30 minutes to report (and get certified) means 2 hours for $8. The caller told me that everyone was jumping to pick these up. I said that was fine, "they" could do them Meanwhile, the deadline keeps getting extended and the shops in this area just keep sitting there.

I do like the business verification shops and generally use them as an anchor to build a route of other shops. In recent months, I have been visiting lawyers and pay-day loan shops. Mostly lawyers. And one State Constable, complete with handcuffs!

OH well hell, and crap, and gosh drat it all.

Hey, Bran, what is the definition of snarky anyway?
I enjoy the TS verification and inspection jobs and can usually get PAD for those, since I'm in a rural area, but I refuse to even apply for their grocery store jobs, having read the description--simply doesn't look worth the time. I shop for another grocery store chain for better pay with better bonuses.

definition of snarkky": critical; cutting; snide:- My comment was not snarky , it was objective I know the schedulers must offer what the clients wish to pay. The amount however, is abusive to those who are destitute. I call them as I see them. I do not need a $4 shop but $4 can buy Raman noodles or mac and cheese for someone who had more month than money.
