I actually did a project where I went out to a new hire's home and had her complete the I-9 while I was there and I was able to confirm her ID documentation. I don't know if she was considered an employee or a contractor for the company who hired her.

I think that Interactions will have trouble getting enough shoppers after this move. The grocery chain they do in this area has already been a bit hard for them to fill. Since they will lose some portion of shoppers with this ill considered change, they may be in trouble.

I am not powerless and am choosing not to play along with the ridiculous requirements for a shop which was only marginally worth it to start with.

I remember when Trendsource demanded that all shoppers get an EIN or they could not keep shopping for them. They still want the EIN, but I never got one and I still do shops for them from time to time.

Do we have to pay for our own background check? I am still unclear on that part.

It doesn't sound like it from the email.
