New email from Market Force

Received this today but no mention of the site being faster!

Market Force Information has some exciting news. We will be launching a new corporate website on 7th January!

Market Force just cheated me out of paying me for 3 jobs. They used to be one of my favorites but have recently decided they can get my report and not pay me several times. I did a double grocery store one and they told me it was invalid because I used Progresso Soup and College Broth. I said I could give them another one and said use clementines but they said they refused to pay me. They did this one other time when I did the fast food place at 9pm and entered it early the next morning. I sent an email too stating I had become sick and would get it in by 9 am but they cancelled me. The worst part was the rude manner they treated me after I had always been available to do last minute jobs. I will never work for this company again! It appears I can not see any of the jobs I have not been paid for so this would mean they have ripped me off for over $100
Wait a minute. You gave them the wrong item(s) and they invalidated, you turned in one late and they rejected? This does not sound like they cheated you but rather you just screwed up. An apology is more likely to get you seeing shops again than claims that they are ripping you off.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry you are out money, but when you do the job wrong you don't get paid. It doesn't sound like you were ripped off or cheated. It sounds like you did not perform correctly.
I did not see it was the same item and usually if there is some confusion a company will contact me by phone or email for further info. I answered over 40 questions and they did not like 1???? Progresso Soup and College Inn Broth are not the same product. The food made me sick at the burger place. Is 12 hours late? I tell them I do not like it but they beg me to please do it for them.

Historically their shops indicated reports needed to be in my midnight. Now many of them are within 8 hours.
So low pay and rudeness by these companies is OK? I had done this shop over 10 times with no problems and usually at the last minute for them.

myslady, I think I look at this in a different way than you. When you work as an independent contractor for Market Force or any other company, you are not the customer, the mystery shopping company is the customer. You are a service provider who is getting paid to provide a service to your customer, Market Force. It doesn't matter that you have done the shop 10 times correctly (for which I assume you were paid) or that you worked for them at the last minute (also paid for it, right?) What matters is when you don't do it right, you don't get paid. And I try to keep in mind the old adage: The customer is always right.

And rudeness is sometimes perceived when it is not there - i.e., I'm not getting paid for doing the job wrong so they are really rude. It sounds like you goofed and need to take responsibility for it rather than complaining about getting ripped off.
Oh you must work for that company. I have every right to my opinion and every right to tell people my story. I am sorry I am not perfect like you and I could not tell College Inn Broth was the same item as Progresso Soup. If so it should not be listed as two different items on sales flyers. So when I mark a student down for one wrong answer I do not flunk her for her assignment and give her no credit.
myslady, you do have an absolute right to express your opinion and to tell people your story. But angrily saying that you were ripped off and cheated by Market Force when in reality you did multiple jobs incorrectly so you will not be paid for them just makes you look foolish. I'm not saying I am perfect and that I have never done an assignment incorrectly or that I have never not been paid for an assignment I did incorrectly. I have made mistakes causing me to not get paid. But when I don't get paid because it is my own fault, I accept responsibility. I may be angry, but I am angry with myself for making mistakes because I understand that an independent contractor only gets paid for assignments done correctly.

And, no, I am an independent contractor like you. I perform shops for many companies but I do not work for Market Force or any other MSC.
@kenasch, I was excited when I first read the note, thinking that the reporting site we use was being improved and possibly sped up. The last part about how the CFA portal wasn't changing, and they "assured" us it would be the same made me chuckle and shake my head ruefully.

I like Market Force, and I don't find their site as slow as some posters here, but I wish they'd do some reorganizing of the reports: I think a few people have mentioned the annoyance factor of having just a couple of questions on each page before you have to load up the next page.

Unless I overlooked it, I haven't gotten the email. Fingers crossed that all goes well with their launch. The last new and improved site didn't fare so well. Fortunately, I do not have any shops scheduled with them at present.
I didn't get that email yet. Are they releasing this information in waves? I am in the Northeast US.

I got one email that was clearly a mass (no name used) email and one so-called personal email. (They used my name.) Other than that they were identical.
