Dynamic Advantage: Hasn't posted new shops for weeks

DAI is among my most favorite MSCs. No BS, pays in ~30 days, easy shop in a restaurant I love but wouldn't visit without the reimbursement.

Emily the scheduler has left, according to her automated response to my email. No shops coming up in any state I searched. It looks dire.

I have one last shop to be paid; the previous shop came quite a bit later than usual. I'm not all that worried about the payment (yet, anyway), but I really would miss doing their shops.

I've heard that the founder is one of the pioneers in this industry, and maybe he's ready to retire. I hope if they do shut down, they let us know what MSC will be doing their shops.

Anybody know anything?

I just applied for one of their car shops, and there's one that's been open in my city for weeks. But I can't do it because I did the other one at that location last month. (Looks like they do two per month at each dealership.) The one I just applied for had been off the board for awhile, but it's back. Not sure what happened, or if they just needed another one at that location for some reason. It's a ways from me, but I can do it on my way home from someplace else next week, if I get it.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
They have always had only one client in my area, and they have posted shops for that client this month. It looks the same old, same old in my area. I never worked with Emily. Cherie has been my scheduler and she and I communicated just a couple of weeks ago. Schedulers seem to move around quite a bit, so it could be that Emily has moved to another MSC .... or another line of work. And it's not unusual to have a MSC lose or gain a few clients at the beginning of a new year. Perhaps that's what you're seeing?
I see that Dynamic Advantage does have shops posted on iSecretshop.com in my area. I believe I've seen them on there since at least December of last year, if not longer.
I hadn't worked for them for a long time, but just did a shop last November and was paid quickly. I also emailed with Joan, who works in the office, about the shop at the time.

I met the principles of the company many years ago at an event and they are good people. Peter Doomanis, a founder of modern MSing, started the company and passed it on to his son, who I believe still runs it. Their office is very close to me, so they tend have more shops in my area, so perhaps they lost a larger account and scaled back.

I would be a shame if they were no longer in business, because they were always kind and professional when I dealt with them.
I just finished up my first shop for this MSC. I'm hoping they stick around. This was the third MSC I've done car shops for and it was by far the easiest. I didn't even have to ask for pricing once. I guess I have to hope the pay now.

Hi. I agree that they happened to be one of the nicest MS. I've seen alot of shops listed on isecretshop. com so maybe they want a larger pool of shoppers to get shops. Their reports were very easy to fill out.
I was assigned this morning to the shop for which I applied, and that makes me very happy! It's a car shop, and I really enjoyed the one I did last month. The pay is very good, and probably about the fairest fee for the amount of work of any mystery shop I've ever done. About what we should be making on many shops!

Hey All,

All is good here at Dynamaic Advantage, we have switched most of our work over to iSS. Please take a look there.
Sorry, can you explain where to go? I don't know what iSS is. Are you going to email us loyal shoppers about this change?
iSS = iSecretShopper [isecretshop.com] and you also have to download the app. Some shops from some MSCs can only be done using the smart phone app. [edited to add "from some MSCs" for clarity]

Sorry about that, yes isecretshop.com. I do not believe the app is required at all, I know I have done a few shops myself, and always from a desktop. The folks at iSS did send out an email to all of our shoppers, and I fear that some may have been caught up in spam filters. If you are having any problems please drop an email to info@dynamic-advantage.com.
You can schedule and report iSS assignments from a desktop. I downloaded the app but have never used it.

@Idoler, nothing in my spam or regular email from iSS about your shops moving to that platform. Is it possible that they didn't send emails out to those who are already on the platform?

You might want to put a global email out to your shoppers to let them know. I generally don't check iSS for shops that often.
There are cell phone shops done for a different iSS MSC which requires that the photograph be taken with your cell phone and then embedded into the iSS app on your smart phone. That MSC looks at the meta-data associated with the photograph. When I did the first one, I downloaded the photo and submitted using my desktop, and it got bounced back to me until they reset the app so that I could attach it directly from my phone.

The problem is that a shopper like myself who went through Dynamic Advantage website and never signed up at iSecretShop would not get email from them about it.

I was checking the D-A website daily as well as my email because they used to send emails when certain restaurants became available. I haven't received any emails in weeks. Even my payment for my last shop on 1/14 is slightly overdue at this point.

I went and signed up at iSecretShop and I haven't seen D-A post any casual dining restaurants in the last 10 days or so. The worst part is that being new, I am limited in how many shops I can register for. At first it was one; now it's two. That's it!

I signed up for two with another company, so now if D-A posts the shops I'm looking for, I will not be able to take them. This is really sad news. I always tried to accommodate them when they needed a last-minute hard-to-fill shop.

The limit is for how many shops you can self-assign. You can request as many shops as you want. Those requests go to the schedulers, who can give you the shops even if you already have two to do.
Yes, I don't care for isecretshop either. It saddens me that so many companies are moving to that platform. I find myself shopping less for the companies after they move simply because isecretshop is less convenient and I don't enjoy using it as much as other platforms.
Thank you for that information! I wonder, though, if others who can self-assign will jump on the shops before the scheduler has even seen my request. sad smiley

I did one car shop for Dynamic, through Isecret on Jan 14. It was indeed a very easy shop! Only thing is, I have no idea when they are going to pay. The invoice was created, but nothing on the site says pending or whatever. Should be soon, I'd think.
They have plenty of jobs waiting in my area, their quick to reply to questions and don't leave shoppers hanging like other companies who refuse to answer emails or assign shops to many people. D.A. pay's 5 times what other MSCs do for my favorite shops, they don't hoard all their money or act selfish! DA rocks!

I did a shop for them in early January (probably the same shop you did). I saw a note in my paypal that I was just paid over the past 2 days from them. If they do payments on a 2 week cycle, you might have been in later half January, so you might be a few more days, or a few more weeks.
I thought I read somewhere that they pay about 6 weeks after the invoice is submitted. I was paid just a few days ago, and I think it was just about 5 or 6 weeks after the shop was approved and the invoice submitted. The shop I did last week for them was approved within a couple of days (the first one took several days), so I'm hoping that maybe I'll catch an earlier pay cycle. smiling smiley

In all the time I've shopped for them, payment's been roughly a month later, actually a month from the Saturday after the shop. This is the first time it's been later, tho it's technically not late yet.

Well, I finally saw my casual dining shops posted, and clicked to self-assign to see what would happen. I was told the date I picked was too close to another shopper's, pick again. I tried again, happened again. Finally it takes it BUT says I can't self-assign, which I knew, but they would lodge the request. I did this for three shops and then I got emailed one rejection, one acceptance (for the farthest from me, rrr), and one no response.

Then I got a call that that last posting was a duplicate and they unassigned me from the one they had accepted. Sigh.

Apparently they're still working out kinks. But it looks like it will be really hard for me to get the same jobs from this company.

I loved working with this company. And I like applying for their jobs on their site directly but yes I see there are on ISS. Why are we having to apply for their jobs on the other board and can't do it correctly anymore and yes I miss Emily she used to call me
personally. I have done a lot of shops with this company and can't seem to figure out how to apply to the same shops anymore.
I have not been on the ISS board to applied for any shops on there, it just seems so strange to me To sign up for shops on there and not do it directly through the company.
Am I being difficult to change or does anybody else feel the same way?
Do you have any idea why companies are going over to the I secret platform?
I hate it. I like applying to these MSC directly.
I hate the platform too. I never check it. So, I haven't done anything for them in maybe 6 months?
I have worked with D.A. since the sweet man who started it interviewed me and wanted my personal resume in order to get accepted as a shopper. God bless him.
24 MSCs now use ISS. Dynamic Advantage is one of them and currently has shops posted.

Well, it's been six months since I posted this. I don't check isecretshop daily, but pretty often, and I've seen Dynamic Advantage shops there but *never* for the restaurant I like, in walking distance from my house, which I used to do quite often. Really disappointed.
