Nsite

Does anyone else do shop for Nsite? I have a love/hate relationship with them. I love that they offer restaurant shops for places that I enjoy visiting. I hate that there is no fee as it's reimbursement only. I also hate that they frequently bombard my email with the same email asking for shoppers.

Well, lately, they have been slow to pay so I don't know if it's worth it. I usually wait until the 45-day mark to ask about it, and the last time I asked, they said they were waiting for the client to pay them. This raised a red flag, and is discouraging me from future shops.

Starburstt, I had that same relationship with Nsite. I chased more than one payment. Consequently, they are on my list of MSCs to be ignored.. FYI, bonuses or fees on a reimbursement only shop are not unheard of, depending on the need of this MSC, although you have to ask.
I had a similar experience. My payment was about a week or so late pass the published pay cycle. I contacted Robert Countryman. He was extremely responsive, but he told me he was waiting on the funds from the client to make the shopper payments. I WAS eventually paid within a week or so.

Although I appreciated his honesty, this scared me off. This was about four years ago. In my opinion, it sounded like his business was running paycheck to paycheck. That may work for a while, but what if a client decides not to pay him. What happens to the shoppers pay? To each his own, but I took that as my cue to pass on their shops.
I just finished a mystery shop for them. I spent a LOT of time on it, and they nit-picked what I wrote (and I mystery shop for a LOT of companies, including A Closer Look, which wants a lot of detail), and said they had to edit it "extensively". I'm sorry, but moving a couple of sentences around or deleting too much detail is not what I'd consider extensive. Maybe the company should be more specific. I don't have the time to rewrite narratives 100x. I asked the editor to call me, as I wasn't sure what she was getting at, and this was the second pass. It is not worth the waste of time and money. I can pay for my own Happy Hour, LOL! Their web site is very crude and not as user-friendly as all of the other mystery shopping web sites, and from what I'm hearing here, I will be waiting a long time for the reimbursement. I will not be shopping with them again. (I used to be a Journalist and Editor back in the day, so I know a little something about writing, too).

The reports I have done for them required a specified character count. I wrote narratives in Word, and adjusted up or down, to meet the needs of their count. Then, I copied and pasted into the report. Not dissimilar to narratives I write for certain other MSCs.

When I shopped with them, I enjoyed a good relationship with the editors.
