Looking for information on AMA Enterprises/Servimer

Has anyone worked with this company in the past or present? I thought I recalled seeing some threads about them but when I search I don't find anything. Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

I do a lot of work for them and find the assignments easy and the fees commensurate with the responsibility. Also, they pay better than their competitors for all of the shops that i have done.

Very easy to work with, but the company is expanding sooo fast that email replies for non-urgent stuff may take a day or 2. Very supportive of their shoppers!

Where are you located? They are not everywhere, but may be in the future.
Also, they are in the midst of moving everything to Shopmetrics and do not have an open Job Board, except for their most experienced shoppers, just yet. Newer shoppers get maybe 2 assignments to see what coaching they may need before getting more. Every shopper has a coach who has actually done virtually all of the locations for the region where they coach. So, this is a very collegial model of management/shopper relations.

I am relieved to read your reply! I agree with you, the pay is quite a bit better than their competitors for similar assignments. There is more work involved, but so far I have found their assignments to be interesting and uncomplicated.

My main concern is that I haven't been able to find out what their pay terms are. I first began working with them in January and have not yet been paid for any of those assignments, and no word on when I can expect it. So here I am in the middle of another round, which is not something I would normally do. Can you tell me what their pay schedule is?

Thanks much for your help!
The first pay you get from them will be a check, even if you signed up for direct deposit. That check should be mailed around March 15-20 for shops completed and accepted in January. I know that the president is traveling this last week, so there may have been a delay because (from my experience) the payroll contractor sends the checks to him and he mails them to the shoppers. If you are signed up for direct deposit, February pay and reimbursements will hit your account between the April 4-6. After that, it's like clockwork. I know a couple of their shoppers, so know that it works for them as well as for me.

Did you email Art? Or your coach?

Just my opinion from working for them for about 3 months, they are honest and concerned about their shoppers and clients. As what is stated above, they are in the process of growing rapidly and that has it's pros and cons. As for me, they are one of my top MSC's
Thanks for the input. I did email Art and one other person, and I know they're busy so I will just be patient. smiling smiley Glad to hear others have had good experiences.

Thanks for the information about them moving to Shopmetrics. I just signed up for them on Shopmetrics, and haven't seen a single thing over the entire country on their Job Board! But now I understand why.

Do you know what other platform they are using until the switch over to Shopmetrics is complete?? Thanks in advance!
I really think their old platform is some sort of cobbled together thing.

They think they will be entirely on Shopmetrics in May. BUT they have a huge client that will not make the move until they get what they want from the new platform.

Hi chigirl777! Thanks for asking good questions. walesmaven gave good answers re. the pay schedule. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask them here for all to read, or PM me and I'll try to help in any way.

guysmom - Feel free to PM me your Shopmetrics username and I'll take a look to see what we have in your area.

If anyone is curious in checking us out, we actually just put on our job board all the remaining March shops in metro-Chicago. There will be scores more popping up for Chicago by April 2, and we're going to try using the job board for Baltimore shops starting in April as well.

Scott also just reached out to me via PM as well. I'm very impressed that he took the time to view this forum and take action. smiling smiley Thanks again all.
Glad to see that Scott has a liaison role. He also manages a large geographic area and does the shops, so he knows most of the locations the shoppers in that region go to and can really help with first-hand knowledge and advice. In that regard, this MSC is more like the major video MSCs rather than like the more traditional MSCs where schedulers, who may know nothing about an assignment, cannot answer most shopper questions directly. There is no "middle-man" with this MSC; we get decision-makers' phone numbers and emails.

Same here...Scott took the time to reach out via PM and answered my questions. Top notch!
If I recall correctly they may have some things in/near San Francisco and San Jose and maybe another location. Send me a PM around May 1 and I will have a lot more info.

We do shop the West Coast. In fact we acquired three new locations in on the West Coast in December where we had no current shopper nearby, and we recruited a great shopper off this Forum who did a terrific job and helped us extend the contract through this year! Feel free to register and then PM me with your username and I'll gladly take a look for you.
