Market Force shops - do you "confirm" the shop?

I got a reminder for a shop with MF for Thursday and saw the "confirm" link in the email. I've noticed it before and I've seen the ability to confirm shops on the website. I usually don't confirm a shop on MF because it's not required. Also, when I list the shop on my spreadsheet after I assign it, I note the shop window (the dates that were available when I selected which date I'd do it). I do this so that I can quickly see if it makes sense to reschedule a MF shop when I'm planning my mini-routes (i.e. groups of 2-3 shops... which I'm sure some of you road warriors find adorable that I think of those as "routes" ).

Here are my questions:
Does MF track whether shoppers confirm shops or not? I know they have a general ranking system for shoppers like all companies must, but does anyone know if "confirming" shops plays into it? If so, how much in advance do I have to "confirm"? Does it help to confirm the shop as I'm walking out the door to do it?
Also, do you guys and gals "confirm" shops with MF? I'm just curious what other shoppers do.

I first noted that a few months ago. I only 'confirm' when I am rescheduling a shop. We of course have no way of knowing whether they keep track of such things until they tell us one way or the other. I can understand the need for 'confirming' with other MSPs when you have needed to request a shop and they subsequently assign it to you--they can have no way of knowing whether you got the message or not if you don't confirm. But since MF is most generally self assign with immediate confirmation of assignment from them, it does seem like 'overkill' to expect a confirmation back.
Nope. Never had an issue with it either.

No, and lately I've slacked on signing the CPI too. I haven't noticed any issues because of these. Good question!

Actually I consider two or more shops and/or personal errands a route.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

I do confirm them. I have no idea whether it does anything to my rating or not, I just figure it's an easy enough hoop to jump through.
Sometimes I don't have the option to confirm. It seems like the assignments I assign myself are already confirmed, but when they call me about something, then it has the confirm option when I log in later and it has been added to my list. Maybe it is the other way around. Anyway, I only confirm if I am certain I won't reschedule to a more convenient date. My inaction doesn't seem to have had any consequences.

Could I have a receipt please?
Never. smiling smiley I see the confirm and ignore it. I see no difference in confirming as opposed to not confirming. I never saw a "memo letter" regarding this.
Perhaps it will become a requirement and at that time, I will comply and confirm. Otherwise, no.
I always confirm immediately after self-assigning, but still receive the emails asking me to confirm. It's pretty annoying, especially with the huge amount of emails I receive every day. Those deadline shop emails are also irritating. "We are counting on you to help us make this deadline!" I get it, for goodness' sake. Leave me alone and let me do the job.
I have never received a "please confirm" email from MF. I have received emails that let me know how important it is to fill a certain shop but every once in a great while.

This is one of those times I wish their "Shopper Advocate" would jump into this conversation and answer the question or better yet..... CaliGirl925 why not post this to their facebook page and see if they will answer because it is a very good question and I would like to know myself. (I will confess, I periodically confirm with MF but as a general rule, I do not).

For me, the "confirm" link is in the reminder email that I get 2 days before each shop is due. I also rarely get the email telling me that they're counting on me to complete my shop by the deadline.

That's a great idea, Ed, but I don't engage with any mystery shopping companies on Facebook, so I don't follow MF on Facebook. Maybe someone on this forum will ask and let us know the answer if MF replies.

I have been shopping for them for many years and didn't know that they had a Facebook page, LOL. But I am not into Facebook so...

Oh, is that where it is?? Shows how much time I spend with their reminder emails too. And I'm a great shopper, I promise!!!

Actually those "reminder emails" have saved my a%$ a few times....I always look up at calendar, which is right next to my computer and a few times I have said, "I have a shop?" on that day. Then I scramble quickly to make it all happen! Thankfully, this has only happened a couple of times in 5 years but still it saved me from a world of hurt! smiling smiley I still never hit "confirm" but their little reminder emails are great. smiling smiley
Today for giggles I hit the 'confirm' in the reminder email. It shipped me off to log into the website. I suspect I then would have needed to go to the cancel/reschedule area to confirm. Too many steps. If they seriously want a confirmation the link in the email should be a direct send confirmation.
Agreed. Some Sassie MSCs have a required confirm link. Once and done.

I've never confirmed with MF.
I have never gotten a "please confirm" email from MF. If I have to reschedule a shop, the shop is posted as confirmed. Other shops remained as "assigned".

I do get reminder emails but, I treat them as a reminder.smiling smiley
To be clear, I don't believe there's a 'please confirm' email that exists from MF. I receive 'reminder' emails from MF two days before each shop is due. In that 'reminder' email, there is 'confirm' link. Additionally, shops can be confirmed at any time after I've signed up for them by going to the "Reschedule/Cancel" screen on the MF site.

Inspired by @Flash's experiment, I just "confirmed" my shop scheduled for tomorrow. I then went in to see if I could reschedule it, and it looks like I still can. Interesting! I assumed that once I confirmed it, I'd be locked into the date originally assigned, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Keep in mind, MF will let a shopper reschedule a few times it not more than two. At that point MF would rather the shopper cancel so that the Assigned Shop gets done. That way the Client can get the results and MF gets the shop finished. Sometimes the rescheduled dates is outside the original date span.
I've never been able to reschedule a shop a second time after I've rescheduled it once. I'll admit that I've only tried once or twice, but I thought there was a one-reschedule rule.

It depends on the shop. Some clients can be rescheduled only once, others up to three times. This number can change, though, for a client with no advance notice.

I get please confirm emails for every shop with them. I agrer, the link should confirm it. Another 1-2 minutes of time for commonly minimal pay.
I don't think I've ever gotten a reminder email and honestly I wasn't aware there was a confirm option at all.

My reminder emails from MF come two days prior.

As with any MSC's reminders, I immediately check to make sure it's on my calendar. Can't be too careful.
CANADAMOMMY has nothing better to do than to go through this whole forum, find my posts, and make snarky, unproductive comments. Your cyberstalking is ridiculous, CM. And how does me not visiting their Facebook page have anything to do with my getting jobs? I am quite sure we don't live anywhere near each other, CM (thank goodness).
