All Star Customer Service

Does anyone have any information or experience with them? I did a shop on 2/28/16. I reached out to the scheduler who booked the shop, she told me there schedule was 45-60 days. 60 Days has passed and now even the scheduler is unresponsive. There are no other contacts (on the website) as far as I can tell. Any help would be appreciated.

I have occasionally done some work for them. Not much in my area. I do not recall any problems.

Does anyone have any feedback or experiences to share about this company? I did a search of the Forum and this is the only thread that appeared in my results.
I did a few phone shops for them some time ago. They don't seem to have any onsite shops in my area. I have no complaints about them.

I've done several bank shops for them in 2015, and they usually pay within 60 days. The company's protocol is a bit weird, since you have to print the survey and mail it in, as well as manually entering the survey information. Seems redundant, but that is what their banking client wants.
I never had a requirement like that, Eric, but I never did a bank for them. The shops I enjoyed doing in my area disappeared off the board at the same time they got an outside scheduler. I am told I am in their 'good graces' but when I ask about the shops I am told I am likely out of rotation or that my reports were 'too positive' (huh??? I report what is there and what I see and I go back to places that aren't unpleasant). I have just given up on them. I don't see anything even vaguely interesting, even if it a place that was unpleasant to visit in the past.
They actually have some really good bank shops this month. For written work, they are offering $100 for one category, as well as $50 for others. The thing is that their protocol is just a little out of the norm from some other MSCs, and that's okay. However, for those that have done those types of shops in the past, I take a bit of pause in accepting such assignments, considering what you have to go through in order to complete the work. As of today, there is still a considerable amount of these shops left on AS's board, and it may be due to the current shopper pool knowing what these shops are really like. I'm just not a fan of redundancy in the same manner as other comparable MSCs that are notorious for making you do a written report or paper survey as collateral to mail in, and then the electronic report.

I did some telephone shops for them a year ago. They were straightforward, and I received payment in the month following the shops. I would do more for them, but they never have anything in my area.
I just signed up for a job with them. As soon as you click on the info another set of info pops up on top of the information. So I have no idea what place I am shopping. This seems really weird. It's all so secretive. How would I know if I did the shop with another company already if I can't see the clients name ?
I've done quite a bit of work for them and I have never had a problem. I did their movie shops and I just competed a video shop-I was told that cycle is longer and it will be around 30 days before I get payment. Most of the time I get paid within 2 weeks sometimes 3 for the shops I do but, like I said, it's only been the movie shops.

I would email them through the website and let them know if you still have not been paid within 60days. That's not been the cycle when I get paid but the cycle apparently does vary with the type of shop. They are legitimate.
A longer cycle for video is unusual. In fact, for other companies the terms are the same and sometimes even shorter. It makes me wonder why the difference.

I'm thoroughly flummoxed regarding their payment terms. Everything I've read indicates anything from a few weeks to 30 days. Meanwhile, my first shop for them was in November of last year. In February I emailed asking the terms. The question was not answered, but I was paid about 36 hours later. Now I am waiting on payment for a shop from June 24. It's not the payment terms that bother me nor is it even following up, I would just like to know what the terms are supposed to be or if they have any at all.

As I said, my email asking the question was not answered at that time. Terms as reported by shoppers seem to vary. After my post earlier I did get a response and was told 45 days. If it is somewhere on their site, I'll be damned if I could find it.

I received an email for a targeted apartment shop but when I went to their website, Norton warned the site may be "hacked" with a red warning label and that identity theft was a strong possibility along with computer threats. sad smiley

I was just getting ready to do the test but now I am not so sure about this company that I have never heard about... until yesterday.
Any updates to this? I'm interested in doing the targeted apartment shops in my area.
